There are two narratives at the moment.

The official narrative:
GDPR privacy oriented second layer for Ethereum. GDPR being EU law that states that companies must be able to delete all user related data upon request or termination of contract. Currently 3 usecases are of note:
Energy: Electricity provider to almost 15000 German households generating a revenue of over 15M euro on chain. (status: full implementation should occur in next months.
Certificates: a little company, docmosis will use the blockchain to certify documents onchain. (status: ready to go)
Central banking: The vietnamese central bank might use it to monitor the crypto transactions being done in vietnam. (status: Rumours but parent company already did a deal with the Vietnamese ministry of education so has there foot in the door)

/biz/ narrative:
A backdoor was installed in the staking pool contract and was used to leak 3.5 million tokens and sell it to the market.
Founders were scammers and manage to sell the company to some unsuspected buyers. It's all unraveling and the end is near. This is worth nothing and there is no chance of anything in the official narrative to ever come true. Therefore nothing of the official narrative should be priced in and after the latest 80% drop we're going to drop another 50%, so better sell low!
