Around ~ $1476.15 this time next year on the low end, as a "safe guess".

More likely, it will be above ~ $2100 USD this time next year.

Mass adoption is going to occur as a result of this next run. It doesn't matter that normies will think it is a "digital coin" or "digital asset" - even without knowing the true repercussions of blockchain, their low iq brains will understand on some level "This has value for some reason, and it goes up in value".

Blockchain. Smart Contracts. dApps. They don't care about that. They won't even know they are using it soon enough. They don't need to understand it for it to have utility. It's simply inevitable for it to proliferate, the same way it was inevitable for electricity to proliferate and lead to the internet, history will look back and see that the internet was the electricity required for the next great leap forward to come to fruition: Blockchain based technologies.

Normies use the internet and don't know what TCP/IP is. What a server is. What any of the underlying technologies are that make "the internet" work. They just use it.

Blockchain is no different. They will "just use it" without even knowing it. Without understanding it. Without even appreciating it, they will reap the benefits of the fourth industrial revolution - and they'll never even know what a blockchain is. They will not understand that it is the greatest invention of the 21st Century.

And thanks to their ignorance, people like us will reap the rewards. What a time to be alive.

checked. ETH is like a decentralized computer with limited abilities and no internet connection. Chainlink is the internet connection.
Or eth and other layer 1s are like banks "data silos" and Chainlink is the armoured cars ensuring the protection of "money" (data) during transport.
There's a few analogies out there

Imagine ETH is a computer.
As a computer it only knows whats inside the computer.
You need an oracle to get the data onto ETH.
Chainlink is the industry standard protocol for doing that, just copy/paste chainlink when you need an oracle.

To understand other anons' frustrations, you basically just said this:
>Money and Water are really similar, no?
>Both are valuable and serve to help humans go about their daily business in life.
>I can keep water at home, and I can keep money at home.
>They both help me survive
>Can anybody help me? I literally can't tell the difference.
Anyways, here:
-LINK connects magical internet money to real life shit like weather, events, elections, prices, etc... It bridges the gap between two parties in an agreement using crypto as a middle man. It makes sure that "smart contracts" have the data they need to be executed properly and according to any new data that would be relevant to that contract/agreement. LINK, for example, could be used to negotiate, automatically, an agreement between two businesses, and make sure both businesses hold true to their ends of the agreement.
-ETH is like Bitcoin except it was meant to be able to host other technologies like LINK using the whole crypto idea. As others have said, ETH introduced the idea of a smart contract to begin with.
LINK is an adaptation of ETH's technology in a smaller (much smaller) niche.
LINK and ETH are not the same, as their purposes are totally different. Sure, ETH probably has the capability to do what LINK is doing--but it can do so much more. It has the infrastructure.
