Should I sell the options before expirary or let my stocks be sold away (and look to rebuy next week) Is there any mathematical or tax consequences between the two? If you're gonna get calls on shitcoin miners, get them ITM and very long dated. I have $2 calls on MARA for 2023 and am already up 100% on them since buying them a few weeks ago. Once stimulus passes, shitcoin will take off.

Anyway to answer your question, there's a lot of different cheap EV stocks out there. I'm currently in SOLO and I picked up some 12/18 $7.5 calls for AYRO. AYRO seems to be the best play by market cap. The smart thing to do would be to wait for a pull back, but that requires timing the market. A "pull back" on TSLA for example the last few days has been 2%-3% before it bulls off to another ATH. Who knows how long this EV rally will last. Also checked.

No problem fren, I am here to help. Slow and patient gains and you will get there. Have an entry and exit plan when you're entering into an option play. However, if you're playing with LEAPS you don't really have to worry as much as say with weeklies/monthlies. I'm pretty good at it usually, but today I got greedy with TSLA calls I bought at open. Was up over 1k at one point and got greedy. Crabbing and the price decline killed the price and I only walked away with a $400 gain. I usually have a limit sell set up for a 25% gain on short dated options. Funny thing is if I had it up for that TSLA call, I would have secured those gains cause I think it was up over 30% near the peak today. Everyone wants to get that 1000% gain using options, but remember, no one ever went broke taking profit. There are multiple plays every single day the market is open.

I'm not fully understanding what you mean by a 1k input could have a 10k loss. You can only lose the premium you paid for the option if it expires worthless unless they were purchased with margin. For LEAPS you want the leverage. If the LEAPS have a delta of 90 or more, a price drop almost hardly affects the price of the option. If you're playing weeklies or monthlies than its better to get OTM calls. For example, if you had 11/20 $2.5 calls (ITM) on AYRO today when it opened in the 4s, by the end of the day your option increased 100% in value. However if you had the $5 call (OTM), it was worth over 1000% by the end of the day (I just grabbed this info from my broker). You might want to look up how gamma affects delta which in turn affects the price of the option when the price of the underlying goes down.

Theta is almost a nonfactor on LEAPS. For my MARA calls the theta is 0.0007. In theory I lose $0.07 a day by holding it, but that's not really the case. Definitely watch some more videos/reading in relation to options to get a better understanding. I spent hundreds of hours watching videos on shit like delta by different people cause different people can explain the same thing differently.
