It's not a huge problem but it needs to be resolved soon. Bitcoin is not really being used like fiat and frankly fiat is better at making purchases, Visa can handle 10k transactions a second and has chargeback protection. Bitcoin's real killer app is as a digital form of gold. But eventually of course people will want to spend it more so we do need scaling. But right now it's all about the hoarding of it.
