On October 16th, I made my very first crypto investment starting by buying $1300 worth of Ethereum, on Coinbase.

Today, I am left with $26 in charred remains of ETH and worthless shitcoins. I don't have a job, I'm a student who lives with his parents and thought I could invest my part time job savings to become rich in a short amount of time. I fucked up.

How does one get better at this? How do you recognize good projects? How do you stop worrying about the price? How do you establish a good price target to entry and/or exit? How can I resist the temptation of buying into obivious scams when I see other people who actually manage to get a profit off of those?

Will I ever make it?

Don’t buy shit coins you have a good chance investing anything in the golden triangle of crypto

>Good entry/exit price
Buy when the number goes down. Sell when it goes up. If the number goes too low, make a decision whether to sell at a loss or weather the dip and hold.

But for you, I'd say a good exit point is right now and a good entry point is none. Didn't make money off ETH deffinitely NGMI.

are you familiar with the tale of soapy smith? dude ran a scam selling soap that came with a mystery envelope full of cash, that was the gimmick. Some lucky buyers would walk away with $100 prizes just by chance! everyone wanted to buy, thinking they’d get lucky too. Except the only people who ever actually won were secretly just part of soapy’s gang, using sleight of hand or premarked parcels to “win” the big prize. No one ever won for real.

everyone’s trying to soap you
don’t get soaped anon

If people like you wouldnt exist , people like me wouldnt make profit. But kill your emotions and your gut feeling if you plan to get rich shorttermn in crypto. 98% of humans fail at this. You made this experience now so you can start ofer using what you learned. ( I hope you did learn something and decided to stop hunting shitcoins to become rich overnight)

It's easy. Investigate top 100 coins. Take 3 picks out of them, read whitepapers and investigate. They should look like this:
-Safe, like ETH, BTC, DOT, LINK, put 30-40% of your portfolio in it
-Safe, but not as safe, like XMR, XTZ, UNI, put around 30% of your portfolio in it
-Risky pick(this can actually be outside top 100 if you read whitepaper, it has a solid team, growing community and you really believe in it), like BAT, RSR, PNK, put rest of your portfolio in it.
Stick to it and you should make nice gains in few years. Don't store them on a exchange or browser extension, buy Trezor or Ledger. Also stop browsing /biz/, it will make you lose money.
