they expect the price of bitcoin to rise to $19,044 in 2020, $341,000 in 2025, and $397,727 in 2030. Ethereum’s price is expected to reach $331, $3,549, and $3,644 respectively

for an informed analysis you should look at the distribution of that ETH
i.e. i provide ~$2k worth of liquidity and i'm not withdrawing, UNI was the carrot to get me to finally try liquidity pools but i'll barely break even due to gas fees and impermanent loss if i exit this soon. i suspect many people are in the same situation. although how many exactly, would be interesting to know

People really need to understand eth and bitcoin use cases... bitcoin is seen as a store of value, while ethereum is more a platform for smart contracts. There's no reason they both couldn't skyrocket or plummet together.

I believe one store of value and one blockchain platform (maybe two) will prevail in the end, eth has the advantage of being the first, and now with Chainlink it seems even more promising. Cardano though is an interesting project. About the store of value, probably bitcoin will be it just because people want it to be such store of value for the time being

bitcoin is just another shitcoin built on eth (more wrapped bitcoin is on eth than on LN).

bitcoin's current inflation rate is higher than eth, and eth is ultimately deflationary in the roadmap.

as for a store of value, when eth flips btc from being locked in defi and staking, you'd probably be better off holding USD than btc during that shit show.

The entire crypto ecosystem is built on eth, and that includes bitcoin. Yes, it should be worth more... That's why people invest. Markets are not efficient, so if you find stuff undervalued like eth, you can make a few million by getting in before others realize.

wrapped bitcoin.

the bitcoin chain is unusable without batching transactions at this point, and the second layer of bitcoin, LN, is vaporware.

bitcoin is currently being wrapped and put on the eth chain at an extremely fast rate, with wrapped bitcoin currently #15 in markert cap.

You don't have to doubt, just Google it and stop being a fucking maxi. The bulk of bitcoin transactions are on centralized exchanges or the ethereum blockchain... the "original" chain is unusable at this point for most people.
