23815123 No.23815123 [Reply] [Original]

I'm shaking with excitement bros
I've just found out that I'll be inheriting a £315,000 ($415,000) house from my grandmother who recently died.
I have one sibling who, i shit you not, rejected her share because my grandmother was vaguely racist.
I've always found the idea of wageing so unbearable that I didn't think i'd ever make it, and I didn't know this was coming because my grandmother was poor as shit and I assumed it was a council house.
I'm 25 and i've never worked a day in my life, and now it looks like I won't ever have to.
I don't want to tell my friends about this and change their opinion of me so i'm gloating here instead.
I'm free
I'm fucking free

>> No.23815189

Do not tell ur friends and do not rent out to niggers congrats and buy PRQ rn for quick cash for partnership congrats bro

>> No.23815194

Congrats anon. For the love of God, dont be stupid with that money. I know a guy who blew $200k of inheritance money in a span of 2 years.

You're lucky you had such a great grandmother, may God rest her soul.

My dad has property worth about $2.5M. My two brothers and I would inherit all of it.
It makes me wonder if I should really be that focused on getting wealthy. I've been riding the entrepreneurial wheel for years now. Worked hard but only had one exit for $400k.
Given that by the time I get my i heritance, the properties will be worth $3M at least - $1M for me - maybe I can relax a little?

Lmao, we don't pay property tax to our government for the pleasure of owning a house. We're not cucked burgers in civil war. We do pay a council fee but that's hardly anything - thinking your own slice of the planet is the entirety is a way to keep yourself in shackles to it.

It basically is property tax except you pay it regardless of whether or not you own the property. I think it's less than burger property tax but it's arguably even more cucked.

Hi OP. Do this:

Buy real estate. Rent it out for passive income. Move to a different country (Europe might be doable, Latin America definitely will). You live off the passive income and if you want to make extra cash, learn a trade from your home.

I'm also thinking about

Currently a stressed out software engineer that just wants to shift to focusing on working out, banging chicks, and some other fun hobbies. Been going hard through high school, college, and early career.

Feeling burnt out because it didn't lead to the life I wanted, but at least I have an ETH stack.

My family is also retarded and doesn't really talk money. I know my grandpa is a loaded boomer, but not sure how much he's worth or how much will go to parents.

Parents are honestly financial dimwits.

I think I'm going to downshift my effort no matter what. I have ~$200k net worth at 27. I'll either manage to grow that enough to live modestly, inherit a lot and manage it.

Worst case I just do a Smith & Wesson retirement plan which isn't even that unappealing.
