I assume this is about interest on debt? In which case I agree that the risk should be shared by the lender and the borrower, or that interest rates should be minimal and concrete, not subject to the whims of a Central Bank. Perhaps a predetermined sum that the borrower has to pay would be better than a percentage-based interest, not sure. Anyways the burden of risk should fall on both the lender and the borrower (as opposed to the only risk for the lender being that the borrower defaults and literally can't pay any more because they're broke)

I guess that people just want a shortcut to success. So they delude themselves that cryptos will actually work in the long run. Some actually do make money even with the scams but because it's impossible to know when the scammer(s) pull the plug on their shitcoin, most people will lose their investment.
BTC and a few others might actually be worthwhile investments though and the blockchain technology is legit.
