Ok so let's work through the probabilities. Let's say you make it if one or both projects go to the moon, and lose if both get rugged.

Your decision would depend on the probability that either project would rug.

Let's assume that the probability of rugging are equal for both projects and assume that the probability of one project being rugged is independent of the other (project A rugging doesn't affect the probability of project B rugging). Let's also assume that a project will either moon or rug, and nothing in between.

We make these assumptions to simplify things a bit. But of course for example if the developers behind one project are the same as the other then our assumptions won't hold.

Let's say the chance of a rug pull for any random project is 50%.
Then,
The probability of both projects rugging is 50% x 50% = 25%
The probability of one project rugging and the other mooning, and vice versa, is 2 x 25% = 50%
The probability of both projects mooning is 25%

The probabilities add up to 100%. Out of that 100%, you have a 75% chance of making it (50% + 25%, one project moons or both project moons).

Now let's say the probability of a rug pull goes up to 75%.
The recalculated probabilities for each of the above scenarios would then be,
75% x 75% = 56.25%
2 x (75% x 25%) = 37.5%
25% x 25% = 6.25%
In this case, you have a 43.75% chance of making it.
