That chart is so misleading. Nov 2013 releases should be pinpointed to just shy of halfway between 2013 and 2014. Instead it uses a large red circle that covers that but the centre of which is more like April-June just so it appears to be ahead of the large spike.

I explained. The circles are so large they cover over 12 months but are meant to highlight the specific day of console launches.
The November 13 circle is centred far in advance of the actual launch date (the centre is approx May/June).
This gives the appearance of the launch being prior to/in the run up of the stock spiking to those highs, whereas in actual fact if you work out where November is yourself you realise that the launch was not before this movement (and likely even after the peak of it).
This is misleading.
