Spotted the delusional greenfagging kek.

The current economic environment doesnt support the ability of companies to invest in Electric cars you fancy little fuck.
Most companies try to be profitable and roi asap . Said electric fagcars take time to roi.

Why would i upgrade my trucks when im making already a shitload of roi while gas is cheap af?

its not about gas being cheap but maintenance and other stuff like range , capex on load etc.

Maybe in 30 - 40 years.

Oh and also emerging markets are drivin oil demand up and their economy will need big time oil to get to the green age of economy ..

Just think about it a bit, you sell some thing you borrowed for $40, even if it goes to 0 before you cover, you can't possibly make more than $40.
So yes for stocks, the max loss is your original investment and the max gain is infinite.
For shorts its reversed- max loss is infinite max gain is the value of the original position.

>> No.23618553

>>23618502
i mean as long as you're in profit its fine really. think of shorting being the opposite of going long, so the max gain you'll achieve is 100%, but your losses can be infinite (if the stock keeps going up)

No issue with this I'm just saying that the graph is misleading. The circles used to highlight a launch cover over 12 months and for Nov 13 is far off where it should be centred so it can have the appearance of the launch being before that spike.

I explained. The circles are so large they cover over 12 months but are meant to highlight the specific day of console launches.
The November 13 circle is centred far in advance of the actual launch date (the centre is approx May/June).
This gives the appearance of the launch being prior to/in the run up of the stock spiking to those highs, whereas in actual fact if you work out where November is yourself you realise that the launch was not before this movement (and likely even after the peak of it).
This is misleading.

It is misleading. I don't know what to tell you if you think it isn't. I'm not saying the thesis isn't wrong or that consoles don't impact GME, I'm saying that the middle date has been incorrectly positioned and that it is far more favourable to the thesis than it should be.
When I'm on my PC I'll remake it with correct points and the middle one will be very clearly different.
>we havnt hit our peak yet for this console cycle
Not disagreeing but this is my point: you are perhaps saying that because each console release according to that graph was preceded by a run up in stock price. My point is that middle one in November 2013 WAS NOT.

Yeah exactly, and then goes down from that peak. The implication of positioning that point to the left of where it should be is that we are further in advance now of such a movement for the current release. So essentially 'there is lots of movement to go', when in actual fact if you were buying/holding at October 2013 levels it would have been an immense amount of risk.

>> No.23618842

actually the circle is like that because that huge rally in early 2013 is caused by the CONSOLES anticipation

and then it reaches a PEAK do you know what a peak is

we have not come close to a peak yet and nobody knows where it will be but its not 11 or 12

the reason we didnt have the big pre rally is because the bankruptcy thesis which didnt happen and so now this rally coming up now will just be delayed once people figure out whats going on and we get enoogh normies in and the shorts dont eat it alive
