The problem is a misunderstanding of the old systems. Not all money is the same regardless if it's "all usd" or whatever fiat. If you work for a bank you know the difference between credit money and cheques for example. They have different functions too but their limitations are accepted as dogma whereas crypto has so many copies it's difficult to keep track of.
I'd avoid copies as a rule of thumb regardless of the problems with first mover advantage.

>You really think they’re going to pay NEETs billions of dollars instead of just asking those nodes to accept other forms of payment?
Why does it matter what anyone is paid in?
Tons of users will hardly know they even used Link tokens, that's the magic of smart contracts.
But the Link tokens are indeed the unavoidable standard for the network's staking/compensation backend.

>They can cut you out and save
Whenever they want to use third-party oracles, they'll have to pay in Link tokens (knowingly or otherwise).
Whether they'll use need nodes or not is irrelevant to this.

Yeah I wrote about this above. Link is the native unit of account for the network. You can have an adaptor for other units of account but they will just be converted to LINK.
Token not needed faggots have been spamming that shit since the beginning and they have no idea how clearing works on the other side of the ledger in traditional systems so they think its all usd when it's not.

Look up meta oracles.
https://blog.chain.link/introducing-chainlinks-meta-oracle-capabilities-for-defi/
"By allowing users to actively prevent pricing inefficiency/slippage through a common method of traditional financial markets, pricing bands, Chainlink's meta oracles can provide a way to define just how much price difference between an on-chain liquidity pool's price and the larger off-chain market's true price a user would be willing to accept"

Yes, because it gives the illusion that this is just market forces at work. The only way they can obliterate 30+ million high paying office drone jobs without causing a massive political and social crisis is by making it appear to be self-directed. White Label vs Private Label – What’s the Difference?
We’re going to settle the White Label vs Private Label debate once and for all. White Label and Private Label are often used interchangeably. However, there is a difference which most people don’t understand. Some people will say that “Private Label” has to do with products and that “White Label” has to do with services. But this assertion that one term has to do with products and the other does not is incorrect. We know this because of the etymology of the word White Label: “The name derives from the image of a white label on the packaging that can be filled in with the marketer’s trade dress. Its origins can be traced to white label promo vinyl records.” So, we see that Private Label is not exclusive to products.
