Aren't blockchains going to basically end all central governments when they go fully mainstream?

I mean how exactly are central authorities going to keep working when all their records are on a decentralized ledger which cannot be altered or corrupted?

Blockchains going mainstream are going to be civilization reckoning no less than the Industrial Revolution. It'll either completely clean up all corruption from government or it will destroy them.

It will indeed never happen. The will to power is too strong. Distributed ledger technology will be used for its ability to control. Glastnost for the people, anonymity for those that govern, the stake holders, old money. But it was obvious since the start.
