I don't care about SPACs, I care about SPACE TUGS. There's basically three players in that space and two are private (ULA and RocketLab). Space tugs will be a big thing when Starship is flying regularly, because it lets you launch on whatever trajectory Starship happens to be flying, and reposition your satellite to your desired orbit. Starship is a bulk space yeeter, but it's like a bus – it's going where it's going, and it's up to you to find last mile transport.

lmao nope, it's always gonna be a 200 hour SMA with some form of 10x or greater ATR keltner channel. the only question really is whether you want to wait for the big dip which happens much less frequently, or take smaller positions at lesser values and scale in and out if it goes down further. buying below the 200 hour SMA is still always going to be good value (not including literal crashes which are extremely rare), as long as the stock or index is fundamentally solid.

you don't have to believe me, put it on your own chart and look at your favorite stock and see for yourself. volatility is a mean-reverting phenomenon, it's just a fact. all my chart is telling you is when price has moved too far away from the average too fast, and as such is likely to reverse. pretty straightforward. only thing you really need to account for is the impact of company news and world events. even like with the softbank manipulation, it can get above that level but it likely won't stay up there for very long, and if it does it's likely due to some kind of manipulation that you should be very wary of. not including low float penny stock shit of course.

im not overfitting though, you want to give me a stock to look at i can look at it with the same settings easily.

I look at companies until I find something that I think is either undervalued or overvalued and has some catalyst in the mid or short term that could invoke a move towards fair value. Earnings report, press releases, fda decisions, company liquidations,... Sometimes companies move away from fair value. e.g crash on "bad" news that doesn't really change the fundamentals. In this case I'm looking for a technical bounce off of meme lines(no indicators though, usually consolidation blocks or simply just gut feel sometimes). Although you can't just short tesla simply because you think that it's overvalued and could have bad earnings. Stocks develop momentum. The greater the momentum the more severe the catalyst has to be. Fundamentals decide if someone buys. Technicals decide when they buy. That's my core idea. Technicals are less important if the spread between current value and fair value is high. They are more important if that spread is low. Not easy to put into words. Trading is more art than it is science.

why naked shorting specifically?

GME is off the threshold list already, the reason there are more shares that exist is because institution (who collectively own over 70 million, more than shares than exist) bought back shares from short sellers then lended them out again to short sellers
Nothing illegal about this, all those shares are properly settled

if for some reason all short sellers have to cover at the same time, then it's their problem to try and find shares that don't exist
Good thing there are kind shareholders who will sell those shares back to them for $100 each

What you're missing is that some shorts they could fail to deliver for a few days or weeks - until the squeeze is over.
I'm not trying to FUD, I consider it pretty theoretical because we all know short squeezes are a real phenomenon allowing high exit targets.
Just read this, it's pretty short and candidly admits this area is unregulated.
IIRC people shorted Bear Sterns and failed to deliver until the share price was actually $0. It's something to look into if you want to be hardcore and cash out GME at $1000 or something.

stop looking putting so much weight on stock price, it's embarrassing how you dont actually understand anything
outstanding shares have decreased to 65 million from 100 million the past year

Gamestop would be at $100/share if it goes back to its 2013 market cap of ~6 billion
almost $150/share if it goes to its peak of ~9 billion market cap in 2007
but that's besides the point, it's retarded to predict what it will be in the future based on its past performance
The CEO has changed like 5 times, board has shuffled almost entirely, all the dumb shit like Spring Mobile was sold off. Forget about all that shit and just look at what Gamestop is right now

3 billion market cap isn't unreasonable (that would only be 0.5x of revenue) with what Gamestop has right now, including the 100% profit margin on the digital revenue sharing shit. That would already be ~$46/share and 0.5x revenue is pretty conservative especially with the digital revenue sharing, CHWY trades at like 4x for example

Sure, and if you follow a stock closely you can usually figure it out (ie, Gamestop dropped after Q2 but anyone actually following the stock saw that as a good buy opportunity). But playing the earnings dartboard on stocks you otherwise wouldn't touch is stupid.

no, that's already priced in when preorders released
if you're worried about how Gamestop crashed in 2013, that's because short sellers were already being burned the entire year prior to release then profit takers overcame that
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLNJeRixf6E

different timing and situation entirely right now
still, it's probably a good idea to either buy protective puts or trim profits right before Q3. It's really the only foreseeable negative catalyst right now
Then do the same thing with Q4, that one could be a very harsh rugpull even if it beats earnings because everyone already expects Q4 to be massive

see this is also what im thinking as well. similar thing happened with AMZN, right?

but as you can see now it's calming down and starting to follow the keltner channel more accurately recently. feels like it works as long as you can use FA to account for "crazy shit" such as "10 years of ecommerce trends just compressed itself into 6 months" which defies all logic. that seems to be the key, which is why im probably going to start looking towards using this for intraday trading instead, or at least swing trading, maybe on the 5 minute time frame or 15 minute. something where you can look out for news each day and avoid trading at all during those days, trade during the vast majority of days which are quiet instead. that seems to be the key now that i think about it.

that said, that also makes me think about FA plays in the future potentially. GME was the same way, i've played that purely as a FA play and it has worked out.

If we assume the Microsoft deal with Gamestop comes out to about $100M/year (calculated by uberkikz - ~50M Xboxes sold, ~20% at GME, $10/yr/console, ignoring preowned), and a discount rate of nearly nothing because ZIRP infinity is a gogo, and a console cycle of 8 years, the MSFT deal is worth almost a billion dollars in DCF. Without growth! In a growing gaming industry!

At the $15 price point you're basically buying the Microsoft deal and getting the rest of Gamestop for free.

typically they do it so they can sell a bunch of shares to the public to fund their shit. just because you don't know shit about them doesn't mean they didn't make a bunch of money from whenever their IPO was. that's sorta the whole point of "initial public offering" in the first place. it's to secure funding for the company. whatever happens after that the company doesn't necessarily give a shit about.
