I've been to that campus to visit friends. Very odd. You go into the food places and you don't pay, it's all free. Then afterwards you can go to the ice cream parlor and that's free too. People were playing street hockey in the middle of a work day. It's surreal

The people that work there are essentially retired, I don't know what they do all day. Their jobs are so granular. They have entire teams dedicated to a single page on the website, or a small module on the page. For example there's probably a 20 person team that only focuses on the notifications settings page, and that's all they work on for their entire career. And they make $150k+

I think a lot of Facebook's model is simply to hire software engineers so other companies can't build another Facebook. It doesn't matter if they're doing pointless busywork for six figures, since the profit margins are high enough not to care. There's always the chance one of them figures out something lucrative while taking a midafternoon work nap and maybe Facebook will integrate that into their surveillance system, too.

the concept of economic wealth is an antiquated cope. economic prosperity is an abstraction of standard of living, something is strictly enabled by arbitrage. one group wins at the expense of another. as the global standard of living trends toward a global equilibrium we are (as in currently) seeing a decline in first world living conditions at the expense of an increase in second/third world living conditions. once we are all on equal footing there will be no winners and losers, only jewish conmen backstabbing one another over scraps of food. this isn't some gay communist fantasy, this is the reality of the situation.

I used to fantasize about such things. Running a ridiculous company that has it's own city and people wanting to work there just to be granted access to a closed community. Children would be raised to hold the company values and ethics, people's hobbies would be subsidized so their free time enriches the community and they do extra shit when off the clock to the company's benefit. Then I realized we can never have this dream of creating a corporate utopia because affirmative action means office fauna and diversity hires would shit it up with their laziness and bring their own values like trashing the place, refusing to conform, and ruining the fun for everyone else.
I've had to move on to the idea of a religious commune and risk the Clintons burning my friends and children alive because we created a happy indepent little city where people do what they want and help each other just for fun and share a sense of belonging and purpose in life. I just want a closed community of like minded people who take care of each other and be friends while working for the benefit of the whole. Libertarian nationalism if that makes any sense. Do what you want but everyone wants the same things and we're all friends. Like America before the poison of democracy took hold.

this happened in the gilded age.
since the factories owned every store in town, the workers ended up giving all of their money back to the factories.

The sleazy Chicom factories actually lock their employees in. Foxcon gained infamy for their suicide nets.

Mondragon is a libertarian-socialist modeled worker owned co-op in Basq Spain that owns everything. Since they own all the stores they can buy everything at cost.

society may collapse, but it wont be because of climate change lol. it will be because the system is encouraging the mass breeding of low IQ/unproductive people and discouraging the breeding of high IQ/productive people. look at the last 50 years of population growth compared from Europe (high IQ/productive) with Africa, (low IQ/unproductive). or North America (high IQ/productive) with Latin America (low IQ/unproductive) or East Asia; Japan/SK/Taiwan/etc with South Asia (India), same shit. literally, the human race's collective IQ is plummeting.

Holy shit, imagine living 24/7 with the people you work with, you go the grocery store, you meet 10 co-workers and start talking about w/e bullshit you're working on. It's hell on earth. You're basically working 24/7, how can you dodge your boss if he can see that you're in X building doing Y activity. It's fucking prison. You also can't change jobs, cause you'll need to move. Normie wagies are gonna think this is good cause it encourages "collaboration" "company culture" and w/e bullshit propaganda fed by the company, and it lowers expenses. This is bullish for the stonks, as an investor you'd want the wegies to slave away 24/7. Buy TQQQ and crypto.

Ding ding ding. I foresaw this coming years and years ago. The wagie will be reduced to nothing more than a feudal serf. Go to work, come home to your pod, take your soma, and watch our government approved propaganda until it is time to sleep and wage again

The only way to overcome is to be rich. More specifically, own stock in the very companies that are doing this as their profits will cycle to the top (Zuck/Bezos+execs) first and the shareholders 2nd. Wage cucks get the scraps. As it has been, throughout all of history.

No, that's just nature, bro. We just went from competing for food, gratuitous fights and bloody murder, to the "civilized" version of the same.
Primitively, you needed more brawn than wits, but both still. Now you need more wits than brawn, is all.
Nature's participation trophy is reproduction. Nature's honor is integrating your essence into the alpha predator.
It should be different. It can be different. But as a civilization we must want it and be on the same page, not just a select few. Meanwhile, enjoy the ride. Even the worst moments can be nurturing.

The information war is going splendid. Now you need to read a massive amount of information to get to a single conclusion closer to the truth, which will be likely contested and tagged as false and slander until proven wrong (if at all).
Critical thinking can now land you in a wrong conclusion due a myriad of narratives based on misinterpreted data.
