ok heap leaching is simple. It requires low outside moisture and stable temperatures. Its used on lower grade bulk tonnage ore bodies. Hey Pan Man, you know about technical stuff so don't mind if I ask yet another very specific question? I was researching a company doing exploration in Sonora, Mexico and they had a pretty interesting project going on. They are in an option agreement with another company that did extensive surface exploration and over 17,000m drilling (core & RC) beforehand. They commissioned a structural analysis and have found a potential large ore deposit underneath the original 125m deep drill holes. The are preparing to drill the property themselves now and are very optimistic for a 100m wide bonanza grade gold-silver deposit. Care to take a look at these?

The Chart is based off of buying and holding from the starting point. Last smaller bull market abruptly ended around 2011, and gold is at the same level as wilshire.

If you go to the 10 year start point, gold is much lower because the last 10 years have been a bear market.

If you go to the larger bull market in the 80's metals vastly outperformed all the indexes, and again, with no counter party risk.

Stocks have their place, and I do own them, and in normal times I would 100% be throwing 90% of my folio into regular stocks while only allocating 5-10% to PMs as a hedge/savings.

Nobody really knows. I had 25k in a brokerage account and I put maybe 7 or 8k in initially. Then I slowly added more to my positions based on different suggested miners and if I thought I was hitting a dip. What I didn't know because of little experience was how long these run-ups and dips can last so I got burned a little. Managed to catch impact on a nice dip but most other miners slowly bleeding out. Thing is that the longer a run-up lasts you start to panic that it won't ever come back down and that money has flowed into a company and everyone has iron hands so you break down , buy, then the stock corrects back down. Very hard thing to time correctly and basically impossible because it's different for every company. For example, impact has corrected from like .8 to .7 and breathes on .75 sometimes throughout the day whereas other miners like silver one have lost like 5% recently. Good opportunity to pick up some silver one, but if you wanted in on impact you could catch another dip or maybe not get another opportunity sub .75. Golden minerals is another one that hasn't seemed to drop all that much in recent days while other miners really fell.

Now I have only 5k left liquid in my account from original 25k and will probably not spend it since anything can happen after the election

Ok anon... your money, spend it how you want, sometimes the best deal is online, but I have gotten PMs at or below spot, and always cheaper then online by finding the best LCS. Once you find it its not like you have to bother with the rest, but hey, you do you, your effort is proportional to your reward.

I live near a lot of PNW money, so the coin shop I go to is about 15 minutes away and is usually fully stocked in everything. The last couple weeks have been incredibly spotty for them, which I found odd. Silver prices haven't reflected this, nor some other pawn shops I occasionally visit who are now empty.

I know my experience is just anecdotal, but is anyone else ever seeing silver shortages in their area?

Yep, we're seeing shortages on the east coast too. And it's definitely not being reflected in prices. I'm getting the feeling that spot is being artificially held down and big accumulation is taking place right now.
