Is it really worth spending your 20s in delayed gratification?
My warehouse coworkers have iPhone 11 Pro's and today talked about preordering the PS5. They are always in a good mood and get laid.
I am miserable and dread about my 99% net worth position in LINK while driving my dented shitbox home.

Think about it, LINK could be worth $200 in a few years if BTC moons. That means that if you spent $1k on LINK instead of a playstation, you would have $20k in a few years. Your coworkers don't understand investing so they love pissing their money on short term pleasures, but you wouldn't pay 20k for a new phone or playstation right?

After you've fucked around enough in your 20's, you reach a point around 25 where you realize that you weren't really missing anything. Yes, it is worth it to delay gratification in your 20's and then have your 30's be fucking amazing. Plus, if you took really good care of yourself, you can be in your 30's and still look like you're in your 20's so it's a win win.

No, because there is always a jew lurking to steal your hard-earned work.

Best approach is balanced. Save some, invest some, spend some, and live in the present. Dwelling on the past won't get you anywhere, and fantasizing about the future will make you miss the moment NOW.

Trust me, I have spent too much of my 30s doing the latter, after living a fairly balanced life in my 20s. I'm the guy that's almost always right, but my timing is off just enough to get fucked every time.

I had dozens of bitcoin accumulated in the 200s, sold for $700-800 because I lost my job and had to live. Eth, had hundreds at $11, sold at $12 see above.

Owned LINK at 75 cents, sold at 4.

Owned all the T FAGMANN stocks at 2008-2014 prices...sold too soon. Often out of circumstances beyond my control, but not always.

I should be a multi-millionaire, but I got too obsessed with the future, rather than living in the present and not worrying about what's to come. Had I not worried and just did my usual hustle, I'd be absolutely fine.

I understand that. I grew up poor, so now I have to basically force myself to spend money on treating myself every once in a while, because I used to be so scared of losing all my money again. Let me give you the red pill of the so called 20's:

-Workout for 2-3 years, improve your style so that you at least look 6/10 preferrably 7/10.-
-Finish STEM college, start doing sales or learn programming and get a job with good work/life balance.
-Start investing every penny into crypto
-Start to fix your dating life for 6-12 months.
-After that try to get a side busines going. You do have time after work!
-Important thing to do while doing above is to reward yourself let's say every 2nd week with something meaningful such as a trip, new stuff for your hobbies or great food.

Fuck the normies with their Iphone 12's. They will all regret the rest of their lives later and start to cope like redditfags.
You simply DO NOT have as much energy in your 30's as in your 20's to lay out the foundations

You do this succesfully and the rest of your life from the 30's will be full of enjoyment;) just keep pushing it!

>> No.23340175

It's all about balance. Tomorrow isn't guaranteed, so you have to live in the present. I have goals in multiple facets of life that I work towards. I exercise rigoursly and eat clean the majority of the time, but if I want to take a day off and have some drinks it doesn't bother me because I'm always putting the work in. I've grinded in my career to get a comfy WFH job making six figures so now I can invest and buy a new toy if I want and not think twice about it. Be happy with what you have and work towards what you want out of this one life fren.

Honestly the difference between iPhone 6 / 8 / 10 / 12 are grim. PS5? I dunno, u wanna play games and shit I guess but what for? Playing games make u happy or some shit? really depends on how ambitious you are. if you're not particularly ambitious and just want stability into your later years then fucking around and having fun in your twenties isn't a bad idea. also, people in this camp are likely in normie meme prison as well and will have a diminished sense of self worth if they don't hit all the "live, laugh, love" checkboxes during this period.
if you are ambitious then pursuing fun in your twenties will feel like a waste and you'll regret it. if you fail to achieve success at the expense of fun you'll regret it double, so don't fuck up.

Honestly, I don't really get how co-workers can waste so much fucking money on useless shit. It's really surreal how some people buy lunch every day or chip in for a food party thing, especially nowadays when fast food and stuff is getting more expensive. Maybe it was because I was brought up to be a cheap bastard, but I feel much better investing my money than spending it on shit like the latest phones.

Yes and no. I think it's really important to focus on building wealth but you have to fucking live as well. If getting a large stack of cash was enough, then we wouldn't have such a rat race of 1 percent faggots attempting to get even more.

The thing to remember is create a budget for the life you want to live and cultivate hobbies that make you feel a sense of accomplishment or don't require consistently large capital. Getting /out/, lifting, cooking, art, reading to some extent. But that doesn't mean some initial capital or recurring expenses is a waste either. Think like making music, buying a nice car and learning to do the maintenance yourself, shooting guns, etc. Finally, good life expenses are things that may have a high cost but you can really make last. Nice clothes are an example. Take good care of your stuff and it lasts a while.

Obviously that 100 dollars good be worth 300 dollars one day, but on the flip side, it may not ever be enough. You can waste your entire life trying to get financial freedom and you'll be just as miserable as the idiots who lived fast and didn't die young and are now in their 40s wage slaving with no time left. Why? Because they are debt slaves. That's what the real misery is. Becoming a fucking debt slave. Knowing that you can never have a short change or quit a job without being in serious trouble. Not working is nice. But the second best feeling that is much more obtainable is knowing that you have the freedom of change. So keep it in mind.
