>Ben Chan was previously CTO of BitGo, where he successfully built and secured the first, longest-running, and industry-leading crypto custody solution now used by many of the largest institutions, exchanges, OTC desks, and brokers in the world to secure billions of dollars in cryptocurrency assets. Ben also played a crucial role in the creation of Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC), the most liquid and widely-used form of tokenized Bitcoin on the Ethereum blockchain, which is fully backed 1:1 by BTC held in BitGo custody on the Bitcoin blockchain. Ben has proven his deep expertise in architecting and productizing secure infrastructure and has recently stepped into a new role as VP of Engineering at Chainlink, where he will support the team as the Chainlink Network enters a period of rapid growth.

I'm sorry, did you think it was going to take LESS than three years to build a major component of the Web3/4IR infrastructure? Link has already done a 70x from ICO. If you've actually been waiting that long, nobody is forcing you to hodl everything. You have no right to bitch that someone else's work--work that will presumably make you a multi-millionaire if you've really been in for 3 years--is taking too long. There's no shame in living cheap anon, especially if you want to create generational wealth, create an impact with your stack, etc.
Have you yield farmed at all? With a top wallet you could, at the very least, farm aLink or take out a DAI loan on Aave and farm that. That way you wouldn't even have to sell any of your stack
But there's no harm in selling tiny bits as a reward, especially for something you don't need but would really benefit from. E.g., you don't have to go buy a new wardrobe, but replace your shoes if they have holes. If you drive a real beater, you can finance something in the $7-$10k range and use farm yields to cover the payments. Stuff like that
We're all in this together fren, have patience!

You could get a loan in DAI or USDT and farm that. Hotbit offers defi smartpools that farm across multiple platforms / risk levels; stablecoins get about 17% apy right now
There's also always cefi like crypto.com for guaranteed 6%
>>23327399
checked. I looked after reading the post above yours and the YFI yield for aLink is super low right now. I'd consider some of the options I listed above. As a disclaimer I'm not yet sure whether receiving synthetic assets in return for staking constitutes a crypto-to-crypto taxable event under US tax law
But the principle remains the same--don't forego little expenses that pay their own dividends. A "big" purchase I'm considering is invisalign for my fucked-up teeth; if it helps me get a better job I can DCA with the additional salary and don't end up losing any of my stack in the long run. Then there are tons of little purchases that can prevent more expensive problems later on, especially investing in your health. Paying for proper heat in the winter, new shoes when your best pair has holes, a proper mattress when you're sleeping on a patched-up air mattress--these are all things that I went without when I was dead broke (unemployed out of college, pre-link), and if I had had my link stack back then at today's prices, I think selling 100 Link to not be miserable for a winter would have been justified and actually helped me find my first job sooner.
