>No Job
>Have over 500k in crypto (In Chainlink if you're asking)
>Planning to buy a house sometime next year
>Fairly certain the bank wants me to have income before they'd consider a mortgage.
>Want to both keep as much of the crypto as possible and get the house.

Does anyone have advice or strategies I can use to go about doing this?

Pay cash, you faggot.

You should cash out the down-payment, tax, and about $10k cash to float around. You will report this amount as your income and it will be the income level that is used for your credit, taxes, and that sort of thing.

Just have your staking gains pay for your rent for now, you will want to wait for a housing crash, and then buy a couple houses for cash

Thank you Anon, I may do just that. Going to look at how much would be needed for the down payment.

You're not going to get a loan without income because on paper technically you couldn't even afford a 1 dollar payment on the loan.

You need to get a job and some income on paper, you could possibly pay full cash outright for the house on an offset account mortage then redraw back on the loan.

Realtor here
I talk with mortage lenders
lmao if you think you're getting a mortgage without income
and by income I mean 2 years of tax returns
>>23300534
has no idea what they're talking about

Either you're going to need to cash out everything and pay cash for a home, or have 2 years of self employed tax returns/W2s
Just because you have the cash to put as a downpayment doesn't mean shit.

Anything over 10k is a larp here in nu/biz/, might be anything over 5k now. It's become a meme to tell people they don't have as much as they have. I think they are trying to confuse the 'whales' with a networth greater than one months salary and make them think that they don't have as much as they have. Kind of weird because it's all available on the blockchain and additionally most of us use blockfolio or similar to track how much is in our portfolios. Maybe it's envy.

That might work for some things but for a mortgage they will want to see actual paystubs or some other real proof of employment

I would buy a $200,000 condo/house that you can rent out just so you have diversification. Youre not getting a mortgage without a job

Then cash out like 200k and pay for it straight up? I dont see the issue here. If you don't want to convert it to fiat then don't but youre also not getting a house with no job.

Even if I had a job, have the issue that I don't qualify for any that'd pay enough to get the mortgage. If I need that level of income on paper I'd have to create a shell company and pay myself.

Guess if it comes to it, with further growth I could give myself the loan on Aave.

If you wait 2 years the landscape will very likely be different enough that you can just use your stack as collateral without selling it.
