I come in at the office at 8:15 and leave around 18:00. I leave my house at around 7:00 and get back at 19:00.
Nothing too bad and I always have the weekends off, you never take your work home with you, always leave it at the office.

It's been said in the thread already but Engineers seem to be so undervalued in the UK. Especially considering how long it takes to become fully qualified/Chartered - just to sit on a salary of around £40k to £50k outside of London.

My employer is public sector based in the south west and the salary for a chartered engineer is only £37k rising to 42k after 5 years.
