DFOhub got fucked hard because most of their liquidity were in pools that are paired with their own shitcoins. With complete control of both tokens in such pairs, they have an ability to manipulate market. But they got rightfully fucked by WETH pair that holds much more liquidity than all three "their" pairs combined.

You can pool 50:50 of two tokens on Uniswap, that would make you Liquidity Provider of that pair. Ratio of tokens in overall pool dictates the price. As LP, you receive a portion of fees for every transaction in the pool.
Usually if you want to be an LP for some token like LINK or PNK, you pair your token with ETH, USDT, USDC or DAI. So pairs LINK/ETH, LINK/USDT, PNK/ETH, etc. Why pair against these particular tokens? The answer is simple: it guarantees high trading volume, because people enter to token through either ETH (because it's a main token of ethereum obviously), or through stablecoins (since the peg to USD), and if they exit, they also do so through ETH or stablecoins. For LP, high volume = higher fees. But of course you always receive only a % of overall pool's fees. And if this pool is too big and your share is too small, you won't get satisfying profits.
That's what DFOhub (people who wrote the blogpost about vampire bots) wanted to mitigate. They started buidl/UniFi pool, both tokens are owned by them, which means they have an ability to control the supply of both. With the ability to control the supply, they could provide INFINITE liquidity to buidl/UniFi pair, because they simply can fucking print both of them. Since most of their UniFi token is inside this pair, anyone who wanted to participate has to go through their buidl/Unifi pair, so basically they not only receive a lot of FEES, but also control UniFi price. They also have unifi/arte pair which does the same scheme. There is also "Burn the System" team that did the same and pumped price of their tokens that way. It really MOONED, see XAMP, TOB and YFKA tokens.
What UniFi didn't noticed is that buidl/ETH is two time bigger in liquidity than all their entire shitshow, so when unifi/ETH got more than ten thousand bucks, arbs saw a MASSIVE opportunity and started arbitraging buidl/unifi and unifi/arte ratios (which was fucked by devs) like mad, draining both pairs of liquidity.

...and transferring that liquidity to ETH pairs. To salvage this situation and switch the blame (they asked people to be LP for buidl/unifi and now they're fucked), they made this blog about how uniswap fucked them over with their "front-end exploit".
Now they're running "the solution" where remaining LPs would migrate to ETH/Unifi and ETH/buidl pairs by voting decision, so now they hold no responsibility for that fuck up.
