My point is that when you print more money the value of that money goes down. The more money we print the less valuable it becomes ergo a weaker dollar. I would agree that apps like robinhood have allowed for an influx of people who don't really know what they are doing and can have an effect on the market. However, I would argue that compared to the larger banks and algorithmic traders, they are merely poor investors who will quickly be parted from their money.
Personally, I stick with forex on MT4 for the more risky stuff, playing with what I like to call "Fun money" that is, money I can afford to lose. Won't get me rich, and helps me understand the day to day, minute to minute, hour to hour, and long term trends and generally get a better understanding of market volatility while being out... IDK 1 dollar? maybe 10 at worst?
Either way, unless if I just said "Sell" shorted everything and then never checked it again, I'm not exactly gonna go broke and I'm gonna learn a thing or two.

And that's really it. Learning. I'm not doing something to make a metric fuckton of money. I'm not even looking to get rich. I find it engaging, I find the market movements to be interesting. I love watching the patterns of the candles, and I love watching how markets react to news, what good news looks like vs actual bad news in a real time manner, and it let's me see what the money markets are even doing at a given time.
