To be fair, I’m a college student who doesn’t work outside of summer and winter break. I have no college debt because my mom broke her back in the fire department so I get my tuition waived. But holy fuck. This Corona shit hit me hard. My biggest blow was Ford suspending their dividend. It’s so discouraging. I know the media says this is, “This biggest economic disaster of all time” and it will pass but nearly all my progress being wiped out makes me feel awful.

Pic related. What snapchat thinks I look like as a girl because if I take another L like this I’m going tranny mode and selling that ass.

Yo, listen up, here's the story
About a little guy that lives in a blue world
And all day and all night and everything he sees is just blue
Like him inside and outside
Blue his house with a blue little window and a blue Corvette
And everything is blue for him
And himself and everybody around
'Cause he ain't got nobody to listen (To listen, to listen)

I'm Blue – da ba dee da ba dye, da ba dee da ba dye
Da ba dee da ba dye, da ba dee da ba dye
Da ba dee da ba dye, da ba dee da ba dye
Da ba dee da ba dye
I'm Blue – da ba dee da ba dye, da ba dee da ba dye
Da ba dee da ba dye, da ba dee da ba dye
Da ba dee da ba dye, da ba dee da ba dye
Da ba dee da ba dye

I have a blue house with a blue window
Blue is the color of all that I wear
Blue are the streets and all the trees are too
I have a girlfriend and she is so blue
Blue are the people here that walk around
Blue like my Corvette, it's standing outside
Blue are the words I say and what I think
Blue are the feelings that live inside me

I don’t agree with some of his picks but his strategy is obviously buy good companies (not all of his are good companies though) while they’re cheap. Which is a way better strategy than the average retailtard’s strategy of buying ridiculously overvalued tech companies that barely turn a profit and already have 15 years of growth priced in. He just needs better companies. Airlines are shit and always have been, WFC is shit, hotels are shit. Oil and banks (good ones like JPM, BAC and TD, not Wells fartgo) are a great play right now.
Buying quality companies while they’re below book value and the average tard is afraid to invest in them is the best long term investing strategy.

Anymore I stay clear of upstart bio companies due to the high risk involved however I made an exception in ABEO's case. Company has a 4 sale sign on it. CEO/Board got kicked out due to them not accepting the buyout offer price or the terms. Big time institution owns over 15% stake kicked them out. The institution wants the company sold. Before this management shake up the price was around 3 - 5 per. Annalist all say company's stock is worth least 6 per at mid level. Company put out a press release stating that they were looking into selling the company. So I bid my time and wait. Nigger Apple is 10% of my portfolio. Im not hating on actually good companies like them I’m just trying to explain what I think his reasoning is for investing in those companies. If you unironically think oil and banks will never recover you either have too short of a timeframe or are just retarded. JPM and BAC are two of the 10 most profitable companies in America and the black liquid gold still has another 20-30 years before it becomes obsolete.

>> No.23006798

>>23006656
>already have 15 years of growth priced in
what are you basing this on

shit like AMD may have an inflated PE ratio but their PEG is still insane given they're fabless unlike Intel and they have free reign over Intel for the next 3 years, like that is not debatable at all given that Intel shitting the bed on 7nm mean they lose any contracts that expire in that timeframe unless they pull something amazing with TSM in late 2021 (but that's very doubtful given Intel doesn't know what the fuck to do with their roadmap). I swear people who say "overvalued" tech companies just say that because they don't actually understand the fundamentals at all. 15 years of growth priced in? are you fucking retarded? 3 years of growth priced in yes because roadmaps are everything in semiconductors and things don't pop up overnight

also if he's hoping for corona recovery, it is way too early to speculate on oil or banks, never mind airliners. The short-term play right now is clearly in retail shit like BBBY (a bit too late on this one though but there are plenty others) given that Black Friday is coming soon.
rather than oil, natural gas would be the better playing coming into winter too, not that I'd touch either one.

If you got them cheap in March or a year or two ago, congratulations. But if you’re buying them now what exactly are you expecting to get? JPM and BAC are both extremely profitable companies experiencing a downturn due to macroeconomic situations, not because the companies themselves shat the bed like the case with WFC a couple years ago.

im still very bullish on TSM, honestly i wouldn't want to touch AMD because it's too volatile even though I like the fundamentals. Still, I would not be surprised if AMD doubles again in 1-2 years, being fabless is basically easy growth, and they are much faster than NVDA on that

the usual Nasdaq giants, i don't really know honestly, seems like people just buy into it because QQQ is braindead simple. I don't like those either, especially when AAPL is still inflated purely because of a stock split hype. I don't care for those, I just stick with TSM/AMD because that's what I understand. NVDA's growth and weaker relationship (is that the right word) with TSM makes me not like NVDA as much either

TSM would be worth almost $150 right now if China FUD wasn't a thing, if we're to assume that TSM's monopoly would be valued as highly as ASML

I know that and I also know you'll be surrounded by death. After there is no hope for recovery or you become too frail you'll be transported into palliative care unit. You'll be surrounded by people waiting death, you'll see death daily and meet other people in the process of dying. You'll see priests come and go, some will even visit you to talk about literally anything.

You will think about death, there's no avoiding it, death will nag your mind constantly. I mean why do you think elderly get easily depressed? Why do you think palliative care units often have residing priests on the clock?

Alas you miss the point here completely. Thinking about your genes means thinking about your own abilities, what you can or can't do. I'm sure plenty of people have that thought process going, the difference is that I just associate it my genome.

And if you really think about it that's the correct way to live your life. If people thought about their IQ then they wouldn't waste their lives in universities. They wouldn't go into debt trying to attain a degree they can't reach or use. They'd find work that would suit their intelligence, leading into a happier life.

desu every single day trader uses TA. The minimum I've ever seen was resistance and support. On the other extreme, some traders use ichimoku exclusively (it's basically 4 indicators at once). Currently I am learning a lot by following and applying a method based on the convergence of fibb + "something else" (something else is variable, he likes using gan angles but I don't. I use fib from the lowest point to the previous high and to the next high before retracement, then remove lines that don't overlap sufficiently closely. Adding some MAs to the mix give very high probability setups and the RR I usually operate at is around 1:10 to 1:20 minimum).
My greatest wins were using this multi-fib setup plus some typical TA patterns (wedges and flags being the most likely in my experience).

Hey /smg/. I am starting to invest in US recently. What do you guys think of creating a diversified portfolio of leveraged ETFs for the long term? I am thinking of:
25% QLD (2x QQQ)
25% UPRO (3x SP500)
25% TMF (3x 20yr treasuries)
25% UGL (2x gold)

The idea is that during big drawdowns in the market I can sell some TMF and UGL to buy more QLD/UPRO.

I prefer QLD over TQQQ as the volatility of Nasdaq and thus the decay is higher than SP500, which makes the return adjusted to the risk better.

Maybe I will add bond or a reit ETF. If anyone has recommendations I would be glad.

But anyway, analgesics have been widely known about since like 3000-4000 bc at the very least. Some of those are still used today. Modern analgesics are usually isolated artificially manufactured active compounds just from these. Beside that, the pain ascribed to surgery without pain meds (let alone every day use of pain meds for fucking headaches and other nonsense) is far overplayed by nupeople precisely because they can't conceive of life without those addictions (be it pain meds or computers).
t. allergic to most common anesthetics.
It's the same with bullshit like AC and fridges. Fridges are convenient, but not that much. It means you go buy meats and veggies a week in advance and get to keep them fresh for a long time instead of having to cook them right away and it means long-distance transportation is possible. Without fridges, you just go get your meat 1-2 days in advance from a local producer, or you get prepared meats (salted, smoked, pressured (e.g. gravlax), etc.), some of which are basically considered delicacies today even though they literally just exist for the sake of longer-term fridge-less storage.
About half the people here have never had AC (including myself) even though it's 40C in summer. Another example of greatly overexaggerated comfort assumption. After the first week you're completely used to it and it merely feels uncomfortable, not miserable or particularly hot.
