Crypto is just like a tech stock, the movement of crypto is 100% correlated with the overall economy and stock market and always will be. The only difference is it’s not a stock so you actually own nothing and since it’s a small market compared to the big boys it’s price movement are much more volatile. If the big boys drop 2% that’s often a 20-30% drop for the entire crypto market and vice versa if it goes up

Many people have been losing money with crypto. Even recently, we've had the Bitmex debacle, the Kucoin hack, and an astonishing number of rugpulls and scams of all sorts... Kucoin and Bitmex did not seem like shady exchanges before getting into trouble. I think many people are losing significant money. If you can't understand that, you just don't want to face reality.
