Anon who replied to and with merc coins...
The Scottsdale 5oz buttons are really only worth the purchase on a silver low or if you buy at some kind of discount. I'm noticing a lot of silver buyers outside of this. Pmg community either have a small group of deep pocket buyers ordering large quantities or simply consider Scottsdale single ounce coins really worth the investment. I do not think the general silver buyer purchasers scottsdake 5oz or 10oz metal due to the premiums.

20oz or even the 100oz seem popular among the general buyer and as stated the single ouncws, which im not a fan of at all. Single ounce Scottsdale suffer from a lack of design. Merury dimes are simple trade and payment to reserve your. 999 silver supply.

ok so 400 TPD... the reason you dont see mines like FM even mentioning them, is because that is so little throughput that impact isnt in the same category for comparison. Just two of FM's mines are 3k TPD each.

So its a big stretch to call out keith for lying when its not even the same ballpark, usually when people are shilling one stock and being hostile to another, it makes me question their intentions.

Another thing to note is that impact is selling concentrate, where as FM sells refined bars, and can do so at retail, which significantly increases the control they have over sales as well as margins.

Not saying impact isnt good, but from their own website " but the resource is reported at a cutoff of US$30/t lying within a pit optimized using $31/oz Ag, $1.51/lb Zn, and $1.69/lb Pb. MDA considers a US$30/t cutoff to be appropriate for production using IMPACT's 200t/d mill and recoveries around 80%, 50%, and 65% for silver, zinc and lead, respectively."

This does not seem like a rich grade to me... seems very expensive per TOz. They also only list yearly silver production up to 2015, and its under a million Oz, not sure why they are not listing the last 4 years.

They have 8 million in cash, no debt, and the property is something like 600 square km. Zacualpan is estimated to have produced a million ounces a year since 1524. It's the 2nd-oldest silver district in Mexico. Whatever the details may be right now, I'm not worried about the future of the company's production in a silver bull market. There are 400 former operating mines there. They haven't even scratched the surface of its potential. As silver goes up in price, grade is going to become less and less meaningful. All that matters is the ounces in the ground, and we don't need drilling to know that Zacualpan is full of them.

sure but you are comparing a company that is making millions of silver oz for 8$ an oz, that just installed new mills that will increase % of silver recovered, which is already ~90% ... just the swap from diesel fuel to nat gas is going to save FM 8 million.

vs a company that is making hundreds of thousands of oz for 30/oz, and their investor package is showing 60% recovery rates on silver, and has 8 mill in cash.

maybe they will ramp up production, and maybe they will get some better/cheaper to produce grades, but its a very small scale operation compared to FM.

So again, calling out FM as a liar for not even mentioning a mine that isnt in the same league is a huge stretch at best, and malicious at worst.

Q2 earnings of 2020 give the 90% figure:

"IMPACT is considered one of the purest silver producers in Mexico. IMPACT’s primary production metal is silver with approximately 90% of its revenues currently generated by silver. Since 2006, the Company has carried out programs of exploration, development and mine production in both districts, bringing eight sites from exploration drilling to development and mining. IMPACT has produced over 10 million ounces of silver since 2006 and generated over $198 million in revenues. As a result, a significant portion of over $80 million in capital expenditures and exploration on the properties was funded by operations and the company still has no long-term debt."

I rarely hear people talk about FR as the purest silver producer without any qualification. It's only valid to say it's the purest major silver producer. By the way, Keith is marketing his company to naive retail investors here. When he tells us that FR is "the purest silver company," that's going to make us think that, if you buy FR, you get the greatest leverage to silver. Not the case. FR is down 1% since February, hasn't even reacted to the silver price. Impact is up 125%. One of the main reasons for that is obviously the purity of its product. You say that FR is producing more silver and has more cash. Yes, but its market cap is also proportionately bigger, and all of that is already priced in. Keith should have qualified his words by telling people that his company is a major, and given a nod to his competitors. I'd have had a lot more respect for him if he had.

Timestamp 1:30, "We are the purest silver company in the world." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CnsLCto5wA8 That's simply a falsehood, you can't get out of it by saying that Impact is a smaller company.

right, to say something like "keith forgot to mention this small scale miner" is fine, to outright call him a liar over it is malicious. Most of the times i see him talk about that chart he does in fact mention mid cap miners as a qualifier.

I mean i am sure there is some even smaller scale miner no one has heard about that gets 100% of their revenue from one silver bar they found on the ground... but really who cares?

Impact is still losing money while FM is making it. Impact is still paying more per troy oz to get it out of the ground, while producing less oz then FM. It is also set up to cost more for impact then aurcana, and again, less scalability.

Q2 2020 was extremely impressive for Impact, given their difficulties. Can't imagine how good Q3 is going to be.

https://ceo.ca/@newsfile/impact-silver-announces-q2-financial-production-results

"The Company reported $2.84 million in revenue for the first quarter of 2020 compared to Q2 2019 at $2.76 million with improved grades and higher silver prices realized during the quarter. This is impressive considering half the quarter was formally shut down due to the official Mexican decree to suspend operation to limit potential spread of COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite losing nearly half the quarter (April to June) due to mandatory shutdown, high grade, a sharp rally in silver prices, and an ability to sell some stockpile allowed IMPACT to mitigate a large drop in revenue. In fact, the Company actually turned operation profit and positive EBITDA for the sixth quarter since January 2019. With silver reaching higher prices in Q3 2020 and beyond, IMPACT's profitability as pure silver producer will only be further magnified."

I know its a clown market and hype alone could moon any miner, but if impact moons, it wont be because they produced millions of OZ for cheap if their future performance is anything like their past performance. They have been producing at a loss for some time now.

Aurcana, which you have been also been unfairly negative about, is also hovering around the 1$ mark just on anticipation of them becoming a producer again, a large and profitable one. I can certainly see that going higher once they start producing and making money.

"Love Keith Neumeyer but he didn't tell the truth to Marcus yesterday when he called First Majestic the world's purest silver producer. It's only 65% for silver production. Only time I've ever heard him lie."

Saying that you "love somebody" but that they "didn't tell the truth about something" and that it's "the only time you've ever heard them lie" isn't malicious, it's simply stating a fact. I like it when mining CEOs give a nod to their competitors and are as honest and transparent as possible, especially when they are talking to a naive audience like Chris Marcus's. The only reason why the omission stood out to me is because Keith Neumeyer is such an honest and principled person.

>>22870241

Primary silver producers are extremely rare, Impact is one of them. Impact matters. And what is more, if you invest in Impact, you get higher leverage to the silver price, precisely because of the purity of the silver revenue. Roughly speaking, at 95% pure silver revenue, 20 million per annum (2016 revenue) becomes 40 million at $40 silver, 100 million at $100 silver, and three hundred million (more than what First Majestic took in revenue) at $300 silver, with a corresponding increase in the share price. IPT market cap is roughly 100 million now, so if IPT became as big as First Majestic, that would be a 25x return. First Majestic would have to get a 750 billion market cap to give you a 25x return. If Keith's point is that "Purity gives you higher leverage to the silver price," therefore his company is the best, then he shouldn't unambiguously claim that "his company" is "the purest" without qualifying it as a mid-tier or a major.

If you don't understand why this is the case, read >>22870621. If you bought FM in Feb you lost, if you bought Impact you won, there's a good reason for that.

I never particularly wanted to get drawn into this discussion. First I commented on a video with Keith Neumeyer, next I answered somebody's question about Aurcana vs Impact. In this thread I'm simply answering your posts. That's it.

What I said about Aurcana is true. Somebody asked "Which is better, Aurcana or Impact" so I gave my honest opinion, which I'm at liberty to do. to be frank, your insistence that a small company which is currently losing money will outperform a mid sized one which is making money, based solely on the leverage to silver, makes me less likely to buy impact then before we chatted.

Impact at 30/oz to produce, even assuming they ramp up production to 1 mill oz a year, and silver goes to 100/oz, only makes 70 million bux, which also assumes you dont take the mark down from selling concentrate like they do.

FM at 8 per oz to produce, maintaining actual production of just under 14 million oz, with silver at 100/oz makes almost 1.3 billion bux...and its refined bars at the end which garner more $.

I wont break down aurcanas #'s because they havnt made production in a while, they are a purely speculative play, albeit one I think will pay off bigly.

Sincerely hope impact does well, but when you talk about dilution of aurcana, but not impact when impact doubled their shares in a few years recently, I am of the opinion its because you are selectively reading into them. I am confident they will see an increase during the bull run just as much as any other miner, but probably not as good as the ones I have chosen to invest in.

We will see though, best of luck

PS also aurcana has a bitching super hero

does impact have a super hero?

Aurcana didn't simply dilute. Read about what they did with respect to the Ouray project. >>22870918 Since 2016, IPT didn't give its share-holders the same precipitous nonstop fall that Aurcana did. If you bought the peak of Aurcana in 2016, you lost 95% of your money, and if you bought it at any time thereafter you lost money as well. Until May of this year, there wasn't a single moment when it was ever a good time to buy Aurcana. It has had an excellent run from the bottom, which is why I was telling people to buy it months ago, but if somebody is asking what they should buy right now, in the present time, I'm not going to tell them to buy Aurcana instead of Impact.

Don Durrett just chose it as one of his top three favourites. Says it will go 10x. Near-term producer, relatively small market cap, both gold and silver potential. I'm not so fond of it, because they just did a lot of dilution, but I do own some shares, and it's on Robinhood, so makes it easy for everybody to buy.

"Golden Minerals is a multinational player, with gold-silver projects in Mexico, Argentina and the US. There are 3 core projects: Velardeña, El Quevar, and Rodeo. Velardeña is definitely the flagship but bringing the small (2-year life-of-mine) but economic Rodeo into production will give the company the cash it needs to develop Velardeña. Developing Rodeo has been a rather protracted process, with issues resolving metallurgy, but now it looks like Golden Minerals could be primed to pull the trigger. The cash flow doesn't end there; the company smartly opted to lease out an oxide mill at Velardeña for the last 4-years or so, and an earn-in agreement at El Quevar with Barrick Gold was signed in April; that one will be a little longer in the making."

https://youtu.be/SPZKYZbZ278

"Looks like they "may" be able to start Valerdina mine early next year and process the silver/lead from that mine using the 300T floatation mill while also shipping the Rodeo ore to the other oxide mill that Hecla currently uses. The Valerdina complex gold which was the problem and reason for shutting down the mine would be stockpiled until the bioxide plant can be properly engineered and built. This would mean the 2 mills would probably be at full capacity. Big re-rating coming soon if approved by the board imo. See 1:53 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Swc9Z6PIeWM Very highgrade silver resource there..."

On the future will entail a huge amount of people not owning silver as you're indicating. Even silver needs ratios among its self if you ask me. In all honestly big bars of 100oz and others will be either for industrial use or used for a new currency. 100oz bars are something to save up for, but single ounces help other anons who are on paced budgets. Buy some now...in 2 weeks...in a month...in two months...you get my point. Pure silver will pull its weight in a colapse, but we know fractional silver will too, but in higher quantity while keeping your fine silver in reserve.

Spain was held in the hands of farming families and nobility, which often were one in the same. Stacker anons may see themselves as private bankers having to hold responsibility of geographic areas assets, but this will also mean many will come after anons. Its looking better in your second photo with the lighting but its shape is a bit weird as if the smelting process happened over 30 years ago.

Do yourself a favor and go get it checked out by a local shop unless you're afraid they're going to target you.

I have bought siover jewelry in the past, but realized its all vanity & even sinful for a man to wear anything outside of religious jewelry garments. Buying "junk" silver means buying sterling silver for pennies on the dollar. Its not really worth the investment. A few anons wait for a market high to trade in their silverware or wait until they have a large enough quantity in order to have a foundry smelt and send them the raw silver back via mail. I've always preffered the idea of getting the cheap silver forged and sent back to you, vut ive never done this myself.

I’d be skeptical of this one. Looks like it’s trying to be an old Liberty head quarter/half eagle. The big red flag for me is no date of mintage below the head. Always always ALWAYS do your best to verify before you buy! If you can’t, then assume its fake unless verified either by yourself via a Sigma Metalytics scale or by a legit agency (NGC/PCGS come to mind)

imo, we're seeing inflation in the stock market because the Fed is financing ~0% interest corporate bonds, and that money is pretty much all going into share buybacks. We're seeing deflation in some areas of consumer good because people are saving more and companies are cutting prices and trying to clear stock (particularly homewares, technology etc).
Inflation hasn't really happened because no one is borrowing and most banks are tightening their lending standards. If people start spending and borrowing for the purpose of spending instead of saving, that's when inflation really kicks in, but that hasn't really happened yet, and due to the uncertainty of the election year, we probably won't get a clear picture til after November.

China from what I've seen is dumping a lot of US treasuries and buying commodities like crazy (hence the increasing prices of lumber, nickel, copper, iron ore etc), because ultimately that's the purpose of holding USD, to buy things that others expect USD for.

Most countries with USD reserves aren't dumping yet because ultimately (at least for now) the USD remains the global reserve currency, and nothing else provides a better future option. Let's look at global markets. The Euro is too unstable and only persists thanks to the German economy, which is half-likely to price itself out as it shuts down nuclear reactors. The GBP looks weak with the UK heading into lockdowns for winter, the yuan may be popular for BRICS bit it will never be a reserve because ultimately no one trusts the CCP, and largely the same deal with the ruble. The Yen is stable but the Japanese economy is dead and has been for decades. The AUD is too reliant on mineral exports and a rotten banking system.

So in other words, the USD won't die until a better prospect appears, and also because the US has a habit of destroying countries with any interest in establishing sound monetary systems (look into why the US destroyed Libya and murdered Gaddafi, a little something to do with the establishment of a unified African currency on the gold standard)

It is very possible that European banks have been preparing to do just that anon: https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/europe-has-been-preparing-global-gold-standard-1970s
However, they have to be careful not to upset the US in doing so, because ultimately the USD is global reserve because oil must be paid for in USD. It's called the petrodollar for a reason, and the American government have intervened constantly in Africa and the Middle-East to protect this.

As I said before, do some research into Gaddafi's proposed unified African/Middle-Eastern lira on a gold standard. It would have destroyed the USD, because who wants paper that can be inflated or devalued when you can have gold? If the UAE or Saudi Arabia decided they wanted to be paid in gold lira, the USD would be dead.

>Memeline or not

I've never really wrapped my head around TA, nor do I understand how the lightning fast trading algorithms operate and interact or what statistics and info the algos consume and make decisions off of. I simply don't get it, I'm naturally hands-on and intuitive so can sense broad "organic" human trends easily enough but TA particularly in current year seems like little more than algorithm/AI psychoanalysis; trying to peer into the rationale of fucking robots and then possibly creating a weird human/trading algo feedback loop based off of mutually anticipated heavy weighting of technicals and meme lines.

I don't get it and am a bit scared of it too honestly, seems like a way to trick people into thinking they can outmaneuver the algos.

I am indeed ignorant so more power to those of you who can navigate TA profitably, I just wonder if anyone can contextualize TA for me big-picture? What comes before or predicts what? Does TA actually allow humans to understand each other and especially the trading AI/algorithms, or instead does TA functionally just herd human traders together in a space or range that makes it easier for the algos to harvest profit from?

Irving Resources Signs Definitive Agreement for Option to Acquire the Historic Yamagano Mining License @nasdaq/irving-resources-signs-definitive-agreement-for-option $IRV #news/mining

“We are honoured to have completed this agreement with Shimadzu Ltd.,” commented Akiko Levinson, CEO and a director of Irving. “This is one of the great historic gold districts in Japan but has seen no modern exploration. We look forward to beginning the search for further high-grade gold veins on the Yamagano mining tenement and adjacent lands we have staked.”

There's been a few guys shilling the dollar milkshake theory here recently. You should read Alasdair Mcleod's latest article

"The error common to both is to misunderstand the underlying subjectivity of money. Money takes its value from the marginal value placed upon it relative to owning goods. If money is widely regarded as sound, an economising man is happy to hold a reserve of it, only exchanging it for goods and services when they are needed. This is the most important quality of metallic money, to which people have always returned when government money fails.

A further benefit, which state currencies lack, is that gold and silver as money are accepted everywhere, having the same values in New York, London, and Mumbai. With the exception of cross-border trade, investment, and perhaps longer-term strategic considerations, government currencies are generally restricted to national boundaries. Paper currencies are therefore vulnerable to changes in demand in the foreign exchanges in a way gold and silver are not; if the foreigners don’t like your currency, they will reduce their exposure by selling it, irrespective of fundamental considerations."

He talks about how the Wiemar inflation preceded it's monetary inflation, because foreigners (and nationals) front ran the Reichsbank into the forex market to protect themselves. So even if there is "deflationary pressures" in the US, you could see a collapse in forex (and domestic purchasing power) at the same time.

AUN isnt producing, so profits are not tied to price, besides considering in a week they went from 98 to 78 and are back at 92 that seems pretty strong to me.

FM is suppressed not because the tax news is so bad, but because it means lots of funds cannot buy them RN due to it. if I had powder thats where I would be putting it right now, earnings should be good for them and its no where near priced in.

I was listening to a Rick Rule interview earlier this morning and he was saying that investing in silver is naturally going to bring more volatility to a portfolio than gold. And of course, the silver mining stocks would bring even more volatility in exchange for a potentially larger return (than just holding physical). So if you believe a PM bull market is beginning, and will be as massive as the many industry thought leaders believe, AND you can stomach some wild volatility for the next few years in your portfolio, then the smaller-caps would offer greater return. Basically, there is no "stable" silver mining stock, at least in my understanding.

Yes, FM is a solid senior silver producer with 3 producing mines at relatively low operating costs. I think the tax issue with Mexican government has been way overestimated in negative terms by investors. At this point, I believe no matter what the settlement will be the share price will skyrocket as a result. As long as the matter is settled investors will be happy, that is at least what I am thinking. It's like reverse of the situation "buy the rumor, sell the news", in FMs case it is "sell the rumor, buy the news" or so I hope. From my next paycheck I am going to buy more FM to DCA down from the August peak.

>>22884850
It hasn't been 18 since the last silver spike in 2012 or something? Have you been holding since then? Anyway it is a good time to DCA down if you have bought higher before. It's good to remember that Sprott bought FM significantly higher than what the share price is today.

The nostackers there aren't wrong in that if we get into a situation where there is total worldwide collapse, shiny boomer rocks aren't going to do much good. A more likely scenario is that we have hyper-inflation, in which case after the dust settles the boomer rocks will be useful again for transferring to another steady currency after our own is worthless.

But the stackers are super kino. I have a variety of stuff and lots of mercs, but when it comes to 10 Oz, the Scottsdale stackers are up among the best bars. Worth it to me. I also have some of their Reserve 1 Oz rounds coming. Again, a little bit of a premium, but they are beautiful. Stacking is not only about practicality, but I like to enjoy it by buying aesthetically pleasing pieces. I don’t go for crazy premiums, but I put Scottsdale on par with government mints so I’ll pay a comparable premium to the US Mint or RCM.

The silver is not to exactly to see you through the apocalypse, it may help it may not. It is for the aftermath of whatever SHTF scenario plays out, there isn't a single SHTF scenario that silver will not triumph over in the end except the NWO being instated which I just refuse to believe that those few will actually be able to exert their will over the world. War , famine , stock market crash , dollar crash , pandemic, you name it silver will have your back in the end.
