You receive interest in HEX if you stake it. For more information, visit hex.com. There's a referral program, too.

But what does it actually "do"? All these coins that promise "free money in the future if you give us your money now" and then people end up losing money. What does it actually do to justify giving you free money?

The problem with this kind of scheme is that either I'm the bagholder or someone else is.

>>22858418
BTC was once the currency of many internet exchanges and coins like Ether and Link have their own niches to fill. I don't think it's such a hard thing to ask "where" the money is supposed to come from, all these unishop coins that aren't straight up scams/rugpulls are just one step divorced from being such.

BPD coming up boys. Who's staking past then? If people fuck up their stakes we get even more into our wallets.

The money in every coin, always comes from someone else i.e. people who sell at a loss, unless there's a utility, which makes buying it better because it supplies a solution to a certain problem in demand.

Most crypto's have no such utility. Ones who claim to have any, only have utility on paper, mostly in the future when the project is promised to be finished. So far there's only speculative and store of value utility for cryptos.

HEX's utility is from the mechanics of how it works as a store of value system. Leaving your money in regular banks is likely to cause you to lose value over time, because the interest received doesn't keep up with inflation.

In HEX the interest is dynamic, based on time and total staked percentage. In most other staking coins you stake to get a fixed percentage while being able to stop doing so at any point you wish to dump the value you've received.

New HEX interest is only paid to people who serve more than 50% of their stake amount. Ones who don't end up penalized for premature ejecting and giving their interest to those who stay staked.

The percentage of the yearly total interest rate which is capped at 3,69% paid to stakers is proportional to the time staked, minimum being 1 day and maximum being 5555 days and the amount of interest received is compounded the longer you stake.

The system may look simple from a distance, but there's incredible game-theoretic complexity within it that makes it have the value it has. Simply put the value it has is protection of your wealth in a world of accelerating inflation, while giving you the possibility to monetise your time to gain even more.

In regard to being a bagholder. If you use the system as it's intended i.e. staking your coins, while for instance selling only the interest you've made while restaking to gain more income passively, then HEX works as a positive sum game, due to how staking behaviour relates to other game-theoretic aspects of the system.

HEX is designed to replace the financial foundation of the legacy world. It is designed to replace the FED and banking systems, which operate while profiting only those who control them. It is designed to replace the inflation mechanism of the world, decentralizing it and giving anyone the possibility of generating their own money meritocratically.

This is the actual reason why it is gatekept and hated so much. Crypto is run by cartels, which want to keep power to themselves. The exchanges are partnered up with the banks and governments of the world, whose interests are the opposite of decentralization, anonymity and everything that crypto should be about.

There's very few people who really understand what he's made here. Most who are in HEX are only in it for the gains, which is fine. RH's ambition is bigger than anything I've ever seen. HEX is not just another coin, it is made with the intention to change the foundation of the world. He's not kidding about this having the possibility to become the fastest and highest appreciating asset in the history of finance. It is actually good enough to do it.

These are the yearly interest amounts compared to staked percentages if you are an average sized staker. If you stake for longer, your rate is higher. Stake for shorter, your rate is lower.

These are the interest rates when looked at over the course of years, on longer stakes, when interest gets compounded over time. This shows how much you get from a 10k HEX stake if you stake it for 1, 2, 3 or up to 10 years.
