Hey OP, I know you’ve already gotten a ton of messages but I just wanted to say it really genuinely does get better. Everything before age 20 sucked absolute ass for me, but once you are an adult you no longer have to put up with anyone or anything that makes you unhappy. Things will find a way to work themselves out. I’d really recommend looking into a therapist, specifically one that deals with cptsd, inner child work, emdr or any combination of those things. Cptsd is probably the one I’d recommend the most. If you can handle reading, I’d recommend John walkers book called cptsd. I know this is an awful place to get this advice but you should know that you aren’t in the wrong for wanting to be loved. There isn’t something wrong with you for needing things you didn’t get. But now that you are reaching adulthood, it’s incredibly important for you to find out what those things are and give them to yourself. Don’t be so hard on yourself all the time, you are not the irredeemable failure your inner critic portrays you as. You can do this. I believe in you
