As there is no real adoption yet of blockchains the speculation is what drives the market and hype is the strongest force. Eventually, when blockchains are more mainstream ADA might be the talking piece due to actually having a strategy to solve problems and gain wide adoption.

I think haskell is a degenerate language made by perfectionist scholars who don't like working products, they like to endlessly get development and research grants and live off theory
the language is fine, the problem is the haskell devs are a bunch of idiots

Who will ever build anything in haskell or in that retarded invented plutus language? Devs are not retards and want something that will nake their lives simple, not miserable. Hoskinson is a scammer, can't dev anything, doesn't know anything about the market and all he does is travel like a fucking s.o.y. tourist. I feel sorry for you. Cardano is garbage. Never delivered a smartcontract. Ethereum already won. Not even ETC community wants to deal with him. Sage.

Hoskinson has never worked in his life though. Just an academic who made a living selling crypto tokens. Nobody in the real world is using Haskell and you can't find anyone who wants to use it. First you need to learn it, it's obtuse to use and it's unproductive as hell. Everyone knows Javascript/python and solidity/vyper are based on them. That's one of the reasons why you have thousands of scammers to come on board and build shit on them right away.

i agree that hoskinson himself couldn't program his way out of a paper bag. but it sounds as if there is a team of engineers who know what they are doing because they are building their own libraries. has scammers building shit on top of eth helped it? cardano is a long-term play it seems.

The fees are high because eth is congested with so many protocols being developed in it's platform. I'm sure cardano is much faster, since the only other coin that ever tried to build in ir, traxos, was rekted after waiting more than 3 years for smartcontracts, still not delivered. Did Charles already announced that there will be another delay in the roadmap to deliver Goguen? You guys will be out of the next bull run. Nobody wants another feathercoin.

The point is there is practically NOBODY in the world using Haskell. There are no Haskell programmers. There are no programmers who want to learn Haskell. There are no programmers who want to write/build anything in Haskell. This is why Cardano doesn't have smart contracts after working on this shit for 5 years. This is also why even if they eventually get smart contracts nobody will be building anything on top of it. If Charles Hoskinson had actually worked in the real world and built stuff he would have known this and avoided Haskell but he's a smug cocky piece of shit who thought he was building something superior.

As someone who's running 10 stake pools on cardano atm. All I can say is, this is an amazing project. Me and my team has in the past had our own eth mining operation, it was profitable but we abandoned that shit a while back, we spent a great deal of time trying to keep everything working. I had so many sleepless nights when it came to eth mining.

Looks guys, this board introduced me to crypto and thanks to your folks I am now financially stable. Do yourself a favour and go buy some cardano today, this is an amazing project and things are really different here, things are super stable, all 10 of my nodes are running perfectly without a hiccup for a while now, it almost feels like cheating.

Oh and one more thing, you can be a stake pool operator yourself with just a good internet connection and a rasberry-pi and 510 cardano (around $40 usd) When we ran our eth nodes, the costs were insane.

This shit will change the world.

600 people using Haskell? Wow. Like I said it's a shitty language that nobody uses. It's pretty much dead. Every year Github does a Year in Review report sharing statistics about their programmer community. Check out the "top languages" page and the top growing languages page or just ctrl +f "Haskell" yeah nobody uses or writes anything in this shit. If you are a developer you would know
