You will have to have a channel open for every trade, but not open a channel for every trade. He explained it wrong. You can choose to rent more time for your channel, or not. For people who hate trading and have no interest in buying and selling or using a dex they are making a uniswap mode where you click swap and it charges you extra automatically and you have no control over the trades.
