1. Move your Link to Metamask if you haven't already
2. Decide where you want to farm. YFV is a solid project that is taking its time to get things right, doesn't fluctuate wildly in value, and offers 98/2 pools, which means the value of your stake is tied very closely to the value of Link
3. Deposit your Link in the pool to receive tokens representing your stake in the pool (on balancer these are BPT--Balancer Pool Tokens)
4. Stake your tokens directly on your chosen defi project's website in the appropriate pool
5. Your farm yields will be given to you in the native token of the project you farm with. You can either turn around and stake these for additional gains or sell them on Uniswap / an exchange to get ETH, which you then use to buy more Link. You have to weight the market every time you do this--Is the native token going to pump and increase the value of your yields, or dump and diminish it? Selling is the "safe" option, but remember it costs gas every time you move your farming yields back to Metamask and then to Uniswap / an exchange

Quickest way these days is zapper.fi I think. When I did it a couple days ago I did the Aave->yearn.finance vault route

1) get your link in metamask along with at least .1 ETH for gas

2) go to AAVE and deposit link

3) go to yearn.finance. it should now detect you own aLINK

4) go to the aLINK vault and deposit. You will now have yaLINK in the vault and your amount of aLINK will grow over time
