I kind of know some of those feels, sort of.

You need to be objectively successful somehow, either get back into university and do really well (dean's list, magnum cum harder etc.) or forget studying and get on that Zuckerberg/Gates/Jobs time and make yourself some billions and then you can be like "do you love me now, father?" as you take him to your Manhattan penthouse by heli, gnome saiyan?

Ask your father for help, as it was his drive and success that gave you a life where it wasn't necessary for you to develop those same qualities to survive/succeed.
It's not his fault and don't paint it that way, but it most likely is the root cause of your issue. Your life has been easy mode and you haven't developed the habits necessary to keep focused and work hard and smart for yourself.

Move to a foreign country and build yourself up or ask him for help.

your dad makes $700,000+ a year because he found what he wants to do in life and does it well

find the thing that you want to do and do it well
you probably won't make the same kind of money as you dad does, but it won't matter to you if it really is the thing that you want to do

Success can skip a generation. I work at a private heli skiing lodge. The guy is a big shot, flies a private jet up here yet his kid is a "musician" that had a kid at 16.

i'd start with not relating your dad to your laziness.

I would detach myself from concerns about the comparisons between myself and my father. Your self-worth is self-assigned and you are only as small as you see yourself.

My grandparents made well over a quarter million a year yet wouldn't give you a penny even if your life depended on it? Got cancer? Get a job and pay for chemo. My brother owes the hospital over $1M.

Ask him for a job in the field he is in.
He must know people.
You would make money even being mediocre at it.

lel nouveau riche

Your personalities are nothing like that of your parents, if your parents had a good idea they would act on it, if they encountered a problem where most people would give up they would tell themselves "this is why it hasn't been done before" and try anything and everything to solve it, if it turns out the problem can't be overcome they wouldn't post frogs and feels on 4chan, they would just say "fuck it, I'll try something else", they would carry on like this because they enjoyed it.

Old money lack these traits but they try their best to emulate them and pass them on, they don't give their kids money, they give them the education, opportunities, networks and experience to make that kind of money on their own. People like Bill Gates come and go, and their shares and their contribution to the economy ends up being owned by people like us.

Your parents on the other hand want every generation to have to start at the bottom because they think it is the right thing to do, no one else in the world thinks like this. In reality they are just cucking their own gene pool while the Chinese, Musulmen, Latins, they are all nepotic and family oriented as fuck and will never change, no one else in the world would think of doing this. The least they could do is try to teach their kids how to code or something, get them to find an avocation that is a worthy vocation like they did, but instead they let their kids do what they want. The road to ruin is paved with good intentions.

Bill Gates is old money you working class piece of shit. He made most of his net worth himself, but he was born into serious wealth.

why
As someone who grew up in poverty, I could never understand why people would run away from opportunities like that.

Do this. You don't need to be put in a position of responsibility. Just ask him if he has clerical work for you to do. I was in a similar boat. Dropping out sucks until you realize what a waste of 4 years college is.

You really couldn't keep yourself under control by just cruising thru UCLA on a bullshit major?

I have a six figure inheritance coming my way from my grandfather, but I'm a closeted homosexual and my family is ultra conservative and religious

I'm keeping myself under control until I put that money into my bank account, why couldn't you?

Yes the Chinese and the Muslims are nepotic and family oreinted because there is little social mobility in these countries - you can't start poor and get rich in those nations

if you look at high social mobility countries like Singapore, they act pretty much like the US, our way is better

I'd rather have my kids growing up middle class than with a silver spoon

Good luck, you need a good couple of thousand from the beginning to accomplish what Zuckerburg did. Even shit like apps or websites cost thousands in their early stages and snowball into costing millions. The only reason Zuckerburg was able to create Facebook was because he had a rich jew friend, Eduardo who was willing to shell out thousands for the servers and maintenance.

Rich people have a really distorted perspective of how much money it actually is.
