I've not really tried, theoretically, I'd assume so. Though if you open it close to ER, premium will be high due to volatility. If you open it a couple weeks out, then the implied volatility will probably be suggesting a directional movement and your capital won't be balanced on the call and put. Unless it's crabbing, inwhich case it may not move upon ER and it may blow you up. You can give it a shot, but imo I much prefer just selling call or put credit spreads that are deep out of the money. Lower returns but If its company where you can get a small weekly return without risking hitting your strike, it's basically free money.
