I have no way to predict short term price movements, but myself as an investor am looking towards the long game. Sure these short term swings and negative rebase epochs can be crushing, even to weathered veteran hands. However, this is all just a distraction.

Elastic finance is something that has barely left the drawing board. Builders are slowly coming to realize that rebase events can be incredibly useful for absorbing/transferring risk in the form of price shocks or demand spikes. It'll start off with balancer smart pools, then yield farming aggregators with supply of the token pegged to APYs, next you'll see AMMs build into a castle of stable credit solutions.

Can you guess what will happen when these services start delivering increased value to investors? I'll give you a hint, ampleforth marketcap will be a proxy metric for overall value in the elastic DeFi space, which may in reality just end up being most of the DeFi space in the future.

With ampl, you have a chance to invest in an entire new industry while it is barely getting off the ground. If you can't handle the price movements, purchase a small stake, throw it in geyser and don't look at it until 90 days later.

The rewards are going to go the strongest hands!

Don't be the one that sold when marketcap was below 1 billion.

there've been barely any ampl threads since the last pump.
most of the /biz/ bagholders have already exited.

I am with you bro we are on a something profound, something economists have dreamed about for years. Rome was not built in a day and good things will come to those who wait, it sounds like cope but so far i have not seen any reasonable FUD that can disprove why AMPL is not going to make it big, though it will take time to be adapted plus it will be easier when it becomes more decentralized and has more use cases.

holding bag for 2x while losing tokens every goddamn day?

Get your shit right, OP.

AMPL is dead experiment that will continue to live.

Buy DMG instead.

Ampleforth is a completely pointless piece of shit scam coin. There is literally nothing innovative about a coin that alters supply based on demand. Whoopty fuckin do. Why does it have any demand in the first place? It's a joke.

Considering inflation will soon be hitting currencies around the world, investors will see Ampleforth as a means to mitigate what will soon be considered risky fiat (take Warren Buffet as an example) by keeping in their portfolio a token pegged to the 2019 US Dollar. It really is peak genius what the devs have come up with. Unfortunately people in general are short sighted and invest not understanding the protocol.

>> No.22474079

the protocol is fucking retarded why would I want to lose tokens WHILE whales are dumping on me, literally get double rekt every time it goes below a dollar

>> No.22474107

>>22474054
LMAO THE TOKEN IS NOT PEGGED TO A 2019 DOLLAR. THE EXPERIMENT FAILED THIS COIN CAN NOT BE STABLE DUE TO THE FACT THAT PEOPLE MAKE AND LOSE MONEY ON IT.

you lose tokens but you don't lose your SHARE of the tokens. So if you own 1% of the supply you will always hold 1% even through rebases. You don't lose money until you sell. Just don't buy a coin soft-pegged to $1 at fucking $2, retards.

You're losing tokens, Bill is losing tokens, Tyrone is losing tokens, even that whale that takes advantage of weak hands is losing tokens. Therefore, the amount of tokens you own do not matter as everyone is experiencing the same loss and gains.

I made a lot of money on Ampl but there are too many copycats now. It’s the next bomb. Last year it was deflationary tokens. This year it’s elastic supply. Once you have copycats all value is lost. Ampl was a good idea but now it’s not unique. And that means it’s pretty much worthless

What's the point of it? It's not a stablecoin and it doesn't and isn't supposed to appreciate in value. So what's the point?
