yes, ETH was supposed to be max-capped, they keep changing "consensus rules" depending on their mood swings, now it's pos piece of shit that will inflate forever and make devs with a 72% premine rich as fuck
look at DAO hack stuff, etc.
ETH was hovewer the first shitcoin to bring smartcontracts, so it did a terrific job overall to bring innovation
but yes, all shitcoins are trying to take away your BTC

Probably you didn’t notice but there is no decentralization whatsoever in the “DeFi” meme, it’s just a chain of trusted 3rd party, from wrappers to liquidity pool, you basically have to trust wrapped token emitter and the pool admin, and they can both exit scam at any time.
