Facts about the market
-A dollar is NEVER worth less than a dollar, only equal or more
-The bottom line value of ALL companies is PE minus speculation
-The top line value of ALL companies is PE plus speculation
-You are somewhere between these two metrics
-A decreasing PE does not automatically mean a lower share price, EPS*PE, 2.5*50=125, 4*35=140
-Retail investors are automatically priced in and adjusted for by institutions, and never play a functional role in the value of a company
-We are currently 20%-30% above historic PE for the entire market, however this historic PE has an element of speculation, and the current PE obviously does as well so this cannot be looked at without quantifying sentiment/speculation
-Institutions are using GPT-3+ to run natural language processing and machine learning in order to quantify the qualitative nature of sentiment/speculation
-Without giving yourself an adequate time span to deal with this you WILL lose more than you win
-If you aren't learning neural networks at this exact moment you are absolutely lying when you say you have an idea of what a stock will look like tomorrow, 6 months from now, 5 years from now
-The PE of entire sectors/markets move in related ways
-Meme lines are literally just a post-priori representation of the value adjustments relating to PE+Speculation, and are not in any way shape or form crystal balls
-There is multiple times over enough cash to pump the DOW to 50k, institutions simply choose not to
-There is no such thing as bears and bulls, this is a myth, you have value and you have irrationality. Value is regressive to a base, and irrationality is upward momentum.

>memes
Here are the GOLDEN RULES:
1. Never purchase shares in a company without an options chain. If you can't get enough shares, then don't buy it in the first place
2. Have some portion of your portfolio in some broad index (take your pic). Holding anything more than 5 single stock picks is the big meme unless you are trying to DIY an index without the expense ratio.
3. Dividends are fucking garbage. Those who "make it" where that would be worth it use muni bonds instead to generate fixed income with little taxes.
4. Don't buy at the beginning of the day. Don't sell at the end of the day.
5. Average up > Average down
6. Lump sum > DCA
7. Set target points for entry and exit for all option plays before you go into them. Rollover into new contracts if targets are met.
8. Analyst price targets are memes. Do your own work.
9. All good "TA" tools wind up ultimately being volume and price average indicators. The simpler, the less error prone.
10. Don't buy fucking biotech penny stocks. EVER.

>> No.22340839

Short squeezes are not effective if they're expected. The whole point is for it to come as a surprise to all the short positions so they have to cover deep in to a loss before they get liquidated. If something like that is brewing, short positions will just taper out without moving the price much. My understanding is the thesis on GME is just very high short percentage therefore squeeze at some point? I'd like to know if there is more to it than only that. Because that alone does not make a squeeze.

You know I've been wanting to experiment with some hardcore drugs lately due to depression but I never could pull the trigger on it which is funny because I have no problem calling up an escort and having her come over and fucking and cumming on her, like the diseases that I may get or the possibility of getting robbed by a potential pimp never crosses my mind. Maybe there is something wrong with me? Fuck...idk man, this market these past few weeks demoralized the shit out of me. Was down over 20 grand because of Tesla, sold at a loss today but decided to go all in on my short positions. I'm so stressed out I had to call up one of my regulars and just blow off some steam. Let me know what you guys think, is she worth it? (200 for half hour).

https://www.investors.com/how-to-invest/investors-corner/psych-106-never-average-down-in-a-losing-stock/
The point is average down is "catching a knife/timing the market" under a different name. Better to still have capital on a downturn in a winner than to be out of capital in a continued downturn with a loser. Profit taking is when it goes up in either case. You just protect your cost basis with the latter more than the former. It is easier to look at a "dip" and conclude its over than to be in a dip and conclude when it will stop (i.e. predict the future). Psychologically, average down feeds into fear of realized losses and average up is the more uncomfortable but logical. The "wall of worry" exists for a reason.
