I'll be honest my "gist" of even investing is I just want as many tech shares as possible. I'm not trying to rotate ever to boomer shit. Tech is the secular winner and I only trade to accumulate more shares in tech. The larger position in QQQ/SOXX I can get is all that matters.

It's like NYC land in old times. You don't really care about 10% differences when you buy it because you are holding forever. Tech is the future even if half of these companies are gone in 20 years the ones remaining will make up for it.

I want the equivalent of NYC land in tech stocks. I don't care about the rent over the next 10 years. Just trading to accumulate as much tech land as possible for 2050+

Regarding GME, are people expecting Cohen to buy out Gamestop or maybe be a really big activist? Are these the only options?
He doesn't seem like the Shkreli-type either that would purposely manipulate the GME float and squeeze it for profit, I don't think he wants that reputation especially with how he built up Chewy.
but would he be OK with inadvertently triggering a squeeze if he offered to buyout the company? Never mind what will be offered per share, the shares being covered so people can vote might trigger a squeeze itself.

You are trying to buy long-term essential piece of technology "land". From chips to cloud. You aren't trying to sell it off and go into starbucks coffee.

You want as many shares as possible and the trading and playing the game is to increase the share #. If you want simple returns just buy an index and walk away.

The idea of tech being overvalued shouldn't enter your mind. It has the secular growth future that you can just accumulate and accumulate. Of course you diversify and try to pick the best future ones most like "land".

You are getting a piece of the future infrastructure of everything. Starbucks coffee isn't land or infrastructure. Disney isn't land or infrastructure.

>How can you sleep at night owning crypto when some whale can decide to cash out and tank the price 30% in seconds?
Easily despite crypto having no trading hours. The only downside of volatility is illiquidity in down times. But if I own an asset I dont own it because it doesnt go down in price, I own it based on its value vs price. And I think BTC under 10k is hella cheap offer. If crypto goes down 30% I buy it depending on where we are price to cycle. The question is why do you own BTC at 10k if you are scared of owning BTC at 7K. This doesnt seem rational to me. The way I see BTC is a standard outside of CB system. While gold is very system friendly hedge BTC is opposite. Turkey, Venezuela, Russia has been anecdotal evidence of it. CB does monetary policy you dont like. In case of Turkey access to Gold is limited/restricted (cuz its part of system) so you can decide to be outside of it and people do, BTC was reselling locally at 14-16k in 2019 in Venezuela bcs it posesses values of limited supply standard and is volatile only due to its size. Since Ive been thinking since 2018 that economy is in shits, expansion is over and stonk market will underperform stability - Gold, BTC starts to fall into same category with waaaaaaayy different return to risk ratio. Im waiting for 30-50% move to dump stonk to crypto bcs when stocks recover to new highs BTC made me 140-190% (didnt make it to +200% thisa year yet). BTC drops are correlated to rest of assets due to liquidity kick in hedgeballs and VAR adjustment. BTC rises are correlated aswell except magnitude is much bigger. This tells you its not random 19yo whales its same financial machine whos now in charge. Im not afraid of that :) I just think Gold and BTC will detach from stock market some time, 6, 18, 24 months from now, idk

Now with Tesla creating more shares (looks like a clever plan by Musk to prevent it from dymping below 1,000 pre split as now it makes a pyschological barrier for it to be difficult to dump below $250.

He's not wrong.
He's just to self absorbed in his philosophy to realize the workers can and should buy stock.

The closest thing to a functional enactment of Marxist philosophy are the companies with high employee stake holdings.

The "labor" is sort of unionized by owning a large enough share of the company collectively wherein they're represented in the leadership, thus able to influence their working conditions and benefit proportionally from company profits. Leading to them balancing their own working conditions vs company profits as their income becomes intrinsically tied to company success.

I don't think any exist in the US, even, not for blue collar jobs, such as a Marxist would care about.

There's some manufacturing companies in europe, and it's gaining traction in 3rd world countries, where "good working conditions" is a much lower bar to reach and they think working 6 12-hour days is normal, they just want $2 a day and a bag of rice, instead of $1.

don't risk too much money until you know what the fuck you're doing. Remember if you don't know what your're doing then you're just gambling.

but honestly you do learn a lot from just lurking and watching the market daily. You can buy an ETF for now if you dont know how to do DD (due diligence) on individual companies.
Just google terms you dont understand as you go.

ETF = basically a mutual fund that you can buy/sell on the stock market like SOXX or QQQ. Except the expense ratio is much lower so you keep more of the gains for yourself. Don't get scammed by your bank's advisor ever again.

you clearly dont understand what compounding fees do. ill explain it to you. managed funds like that underperform index funds in 90+% of cases, and make their money charging suckers like you "small" fees of "only" 1-2%. however, just like your money compounds its growth every year (7% one year, then 7% of the new total worth the next year, on and on), those fees grow with it. so 2% of your total account over 1 year is small. over 2 years its small. over 4 years its pretty small. however, if you held your money in a 2% expense ratio fee account for 30 years, you would have lost out on 25+% of possible gains only to underperform the market.
you are willingly being jewed. look it up if you dont believe me. if you truly plan to set it and forget it like you say, making this switch right now is absolutely crucial
