The NASDAQ also went from 2000 to 5000 points over the course of 14 months. That's also without a random black swan event causing it to dip 30% in the first place.

In comparison, we were at 8k on the NASDAQ one year ago. We're up 50% in one year pretty much. In 2016-2018 the NASDAQ saw similar 30%+ returns in a year and that was no bubble - just a regular bull market. Tech is going to be fine.

Have noticed that. Some of them take days to go up 2 dollars only to lose the full 2 dollars in a single day all while being a sub $30 stock.

Have noticed a weird pattern in one where volume is mostly the same day over day but it kept going up on no news. Ended up dumping like 20% over a week or two only to gain a decent chunk back today....on no news and slightly higher volume.

Suspicious that a lot of these stocks are moving slowly up to trick people into buying and then a sudden rugpull before the big firms buy back in.

Nothing retard mode like $400, anything 1.5-3% OTM will still return 30-60% on initial if it ever gets near ATM or becomes ITM. And with the market as is right now, it's really not hard to catch a 1% swing on QQQ (ie a dip like today morning by setting a low limit buy) then selling the recovery (or holding overnight/over the weekend since we've been opening green on Mondays the past what, 8 of 9 sessions?)

Always long dated, at least 2 month out to be safe so you don't get fucked by a mid-month correction like July.

September is historically a volatile month so maybe play it safe and grab 0.5-1% OTM calls instead of 1%-3% OTM.

Since expiration is 9/30, you still have a healthy 3 weeks for this to go ITM. The leverage starts to wear out the more you go ITM (so for your case, it would be around $362) but since 3600 will be a strong resistance point, I would personally sell this position whenever SPY hits 359.50~360 (especially if it gaps up to 360 overnight) then rebuy a 10/16 position slightly further OTM at $363~$365 with the same equity. I say sell it if it gaps up because we've seen a lot of big gap up openers that dump into 10-11AM and a quick recovery after. That's usually where you can really get some cheap options (and also sell really expensive ones right on open.)

I am not looking to make WSB style options trades, but I have been looking at AAPL and NIO LEAPs. Are these pretty solid investments? AAPL I expect would be, NIO has some pretty high 12 month expectations and a 2022 contract sounds pretty appealing with those numbers with all the time to grow into them. 2022 AAPL are a little pricey for my taste

With 20k options money particularly dedicated to index options, that gives you plenty of wiggle room to be a wrong a couple of times. I'd you use that 60k for moderately risked growth stocks that should allow you to make enough to take profits and reinvest. All of this also depends on the market climate as well.

Yes walmart is in direct competition and Amazon is beating then in most categories, but here is why walmart isn't out.

1. Walmart stores act as both warehouse and shopping center, something Amazon doesn't have.

2. Walmart+ launches in on September 15th. It has the same shipping promises that Amazon has for 20% less.

2. Walmart plus also offers free grocery delivery.

3. Walmart plus also offers the ability to scan your groceries via smartphone and pay in the same manner this avoiding the checkout lines all together.

4. Walmart beats amazons prices 10 out of 10 times.

A vast majority of the way up from trough was done through AH and PM trading, with most days trading +/-1%, and index gaps are difficult to deal with due to their nature as an index. I've seen plenty of floating islands out there that haven't corrected, much to my dismay. I've also watched futures trade negative through the night and watched another green day emerge. I've seen VIX spike repeatedly and watched the market do nothing in reaction to it but trade higher. DXY down or up, I've watched the market diverge against logic.

All I'm saying, is that all these technicals don't really mean anything until they mean anything. There are a lot of severe issues that have emerged from this crisis, and the current market conditions and the ATH they're pushing are among them. Alongside of trillions of dollars of cashflow freezing for a month, the debt market is insane right now. The Fed's reaction may have gone too far. The Keynsian ideals are going to be tested in their full light. Maybe it's now, and maybe it's months away for all this shit to precipitate. But so far they're doing a good job of maintaining the illusion they're in control it seems.

The VIX is an index that's calculated by comparing the value of open puts n calls for the next 30 days of the SPX. As such it's basically just a number, but you can trade derivatives of it. In theory a higher VIX means there's higher IV in near-term options meaning people are attempting to price in large, potentially downward moves in the SPX. It's meant to act as a forward looking indicator for incoming volatility, but I kinda think that's bullhonky and it just measures current anxieties

I was bombarded with fake news 24/7 that made me to take the wrong choices all over the place. Even /pol/ (my usual source of uncensored news) was on the same page a Leddit. This virus was supposed to end our civilization as far as I knew in March. Insider traders knew that's not the case and they bought the dip. Never watched a news channel since April, I automatically filter anything covid-related as fake news that's there to manipulate the masses into giving up their freedom.

All the bears dont understand it's a positive feedback loop. They keep citing GME's fundamentals like it matters.

Considering GME delayed earnings to September, the timing of the SEC filing, the massive share buybacks prior to this, Ryan Cohen, it's plain as day this was all planned out for months to rob the short sellers. You cant make this shit up
