Friendly reminder that despite massive tailwinds it took MSFT 16 years to recover from the top, and nearly as much time to recover the middle. I don't think you fully realize that a lot of these big players are totally price insensitive to this top and a heft portion of their holdings are decades old. All of these recent buyers are increasingly sensitive to both volatility amplitude and length since they're going to require liquidity. Not to mention the fact that every time one of these insane mcap companies moves a single percentage point they increase or decrease in value in the orders of tens of billions of dollars. The bigger they are the harder they fall.
