The entire green energy industry is a giant scam bought and paid for by the oil industry ironically enough. It absolutely is not sustainable, and needs government subsidy to survive. Also for what it's worth, solar and wind energy isn't scalable either and isn't viable to set up in 90% of North American locations.

But ya, the oil industry knows that shit like solar, wind, electric, etc isn't a real threat to oil, so they provide funding to green lobbyist groups to pump up tech they know isn't real competition in order to keep attention off the true king, nuclear energy. It is in some places, but the places that get enough wind/sun to make it profitable are really small sections. That's what I meant by it not being scalable. It will take like 50+ years for it to be viable for everyone

Green tech is slowly getting there, just that a lot of popular stuff (photovoltaic per example) has horrible efficiency. But stuff like heat pumps, solar Stirling engines are getting there

Lots of people don't know this, but it's 100% correct. Look at the investment into Liquid Natural Gas and the wars over the pipelines (Syria, Ukraine, Belarus, etc etc).

The goal is roll out green energy, and then when those feel-good sources can't meet demand, flip on the natural gas plants as auxiliaries, and jack the price up 10x cause it's emergency demand.
