Contrarian take on dollar milkshake theory:

The EU countries run much leaner deficits and have a much lower % of their national expenses go to servicing their debt. Linked in part to longer low interest rates and NIRP.

USA spends much higher % of budget on servicing debt and this number is growing. USA will get fucked in the ass by servicing debts unless USA goes into NIRP.

This will kill one of the key attractions of the USD over EURO.

At $10,000 gold pricing no longer works the market would be gone and gold would become money (same with silver). There are plenty of people that are pointing to prices beyond that in a very serious got-nothing-to-sell-you tone. That just points to the complete destruction of the dollar and the American economy. Super computer expects price to top out at $5,000 though I admit... I know... that's a very Americentric price. I fully expect that to be an incredibly expensive $5,000. There are things that super computer says that after a lot of thought leads me to think as a possibility regional pricing will diverge, potentially, greatly.

It’s an amusing idea, but real talk: wearing precious metal necklaces or rings is probably a bad idea unless you mean to advertise your home as a target for burglary. It’s rare enough that it attracts attention and you need to ask yourself if you want said attention.

Even just wearing a gold Rolex which is the most common form of PM jewelry for men after wedding rings is relatively uncommon especially if you’re a young man.

I wouldn’t do it.

who saffron stacking here, densist store of value possible, higher than gold, supperior in every way, and has an actual use
when the dollar collapses the world will go back to the spice standard
it will be called the MELANGE-reserve system

historical spice to life ratio is 3:1
that means the price of saffron when remonatized should be around $90k!!!
at a 3:1 spice-life ratio that is over 270k per ounce
thats why we see ILLEGAL spice sanctions with the biggest spice nation iran and the fed manipulating the spice futures, if spice lords take delivery of their melange you will see spice failures because their isnt enough spice in the mines to satisfy the amount of paper spice being currently traded

Predictions for this coming week?

I think we finally saw the financial markets responding as they should to Powell's inflation announcement

10 year treasury yield down = demand for dollar down
Watched the dollar dump nearly 1% in one day in all markets, TSE, SSE, HKE, FWB, LSE - the only market to catch the knife was NYSE - but by the end of the day they dropped it too
[the dollar has declined 6% in 365 days.. it declined almost 1% in 24 hours..]

There is no 'huge' expected financial news on Monday-Wednesday aka nothing to show recovery and spur demand for the dollar
https://www.marketwatch.com/economy-politics/calendar
Really the only news in the next week that could cause a decline would be Thursday jobless claims being less bad than expected & then Friday nonfarm payroll + unemployment rate

I think that as we've seen more States backtrack on their lockdowns / close down what had happened it's unlikely for the #'s to be good
More & more people are getting laid off / bankruptcies are picking up
https://youtu.be/eRsLhy9HFlU

It's possible that DXY at 2 year low could bounce this week, but it seems really unlikely since the rallies have failed each time this past week. It's going to be hard to stop the sell-off..

Speculation regarding 145M ounces due for delivery right now.. more and more people aware of JPM manipulation / COMEX squeeze on deliveries

VIX spiked up huge to 24.47 in the past 24 hours

To me, it seems like we are on the diving board to jump to $30 silver this week - and as we all know, once it hits $30, it'll be likely to run even higher as the mania sets in

It doesn't seem like there is anything to stop it, barring very good #'s on Thursday/Friday

Scotiabank will nail JPMorganChase for metals market rigging, London trader Maguire says

The fine of $124 million that Scotiabank has agreed to pay the U.S. government for manipulating the gold and silver markets with "spoofing" is tiny compared to the offense, London metals trader Andrew Maguire says in his interview this week with Shane Morand of Kinesis Money, but that's because the fine is not the end of the case against the bullion bank.

Scotiabank, Maguire says, remains vulnerable to criminal charges of wire fraud and so is cooperating with the U.S. Justice Department in prosecution of the biggest gold and silver market-rigger of all, JPMorganChase.

Further, Maguire adds, the prosecution is linked to a pending "reset" of gold and silver prices.

In connection with that "reset," Maguire says, the Bank for International Settlements has built an unprecedentedly large unallocated foreign-exchange gold position as it distributes desperately needed metal to banks around the world.

Behind the extraordinary recent volatility of the gold and silver markets, Maguire says, the banks are striving to shake out speculators while getting long themselves.

guys your missing the point, fiat became the thing in the 70's what happened during the 70's? boomers became a voting block. boomers willingly sold their children and grandchildrens future away for some quick money,
you can look at history, fiat does the same thing over and over again, the first generation who adopt it, win big the second and third generations only have their wealth stolen so they force the govt to go back to metals based money
but i got distracted, boomers refuse to admit to inflation because they would have to admit to being the ones who took the dollar off the gold system

Bank wires are usually $35 fee from your bank. If you do ACH/eCheck with just your routing number and checking account number, there’s usually no fee, but same cash discount. As for doing it online, you only need account number and routing number for ACH/eCheck, but you need more info for a wire and have to do it on your bank side. Some let you originate online, but there’s sometimes a limit. I bank at Wells Fargo and the most I can wire from online is $5k. Otherwise, I have to go into a branch to do it. It depends on your bank.

Short: if you can do ACH/eCheck, it’s better and easier.

I think Santander you may have to. They might do it over the phone due to Covid, but I don’t know. When I had to wire to my brokerage, I had to make an appointment at the bank to do it because of Covid. Anyway, it won’t go until Monday anyway since it has to go through the Fed during business hours. Does the merchant give you an ACH/eCheck option?

It's at the post office and I'm pumped to pick it up tomorrow morning asap. It's speced at 40mm diam. That should be interesting. Eagles and krugs are only 32. Maples 30

that is the way to do it. Rome wasn't built in a day. store your wealth and someday you'll look back at the empire you've built for yourself. Better to set a brick a day then a barn in an hour.
