FLOW will become a store of value which maintains decentralisation as mining is not required for the inflation to continue, and instead of the most efficient miners being rewarded, the investors are rewarded instead. Then of course various other features such as liquitity mining further add to the utility.

So thats the genuine purpose of the token down. As for the early investors waiting to dump on newcomers, to be frank, there are a few wallets doing precisely that right now. My advice would be to check which wallets are selling on etherscan and wait for your entry. The majority of the dumping is over (the whale currently exiting as we speak has about 40k FLOW left) so it's not a particularly big issue. The majority of investors are long term holders, and of course, as with every investment asset, early investors will always want to sell for a profit. So it is no more of a ponzi scheme than any other stock or crypto.

I'm not a shiller though, so like I said, if you do want to buy in, I'd check the whale wallets and be patient, otherwise buy DIA, that's my other pick

Explain what liquidity mining is and how ot provides any value. All you are doing is market making. The value is in transactions handled by the ethereum network, not Flow. You receive a portion of fees rewarded for the transaction, but that is value added from Ethereum, not Flow. You're just getting a cut of the fees generated by bringing new mooks into the scheme. This is probably the actual scam behind Flow that the participants are too unwitting to find out. You make a token with no purpose, provide a market from genesis, collect all transaction fees, and suffer no impermanent loss in the end as the price tanks back down tl where it started.
