FYI I actually do know. All the 500k "dumps" that everyone is getting so bent out of shape over have all been going to one wallet that disburses them to unique addresses in amounts ranging from 1000 LINK to 10000 LINK. Earlier in those 500k movements, those addresses were tagged on Etherscan as being known aggregators. It's probably all of them were, even if not labeled as such. This is impossible, in order to use a ledger you would have physical access to the device and know the pin. You cannot program a smart contract to do what you are describing.

I think this event will be a little different. Don't get me wrong I've watched basically all of them since 2017 and we might get a little pump leading up and then a sell the news event when nothing happens. That being said this conference was put together by Chainlink. We saw a ridiculous pump after Mainnet which then combo'ed into Google and Coinbase then we saw a 67% drop over the next 10 weeks from that high. If we repeat the previous fractal from the last run up we could see upwards of $44. We did something like .42 to $4.70 in 7 weeks I think. Also we are moving on a parabolic trend line now. Everything is happening faster both the expansions up and the corrections down. If I remember correctly we did .42 to about 2.10 corrected to about 1.40's and the onward to $4.70. Chainlink is a strange asset because its incredible as both a long term hold and short/medium term swing trading. Its just easy to get left behind, sell to early, or get upset because because you could have increased your stack by 50% in a 7 day period but you didn't. I see us still pumping at least a week into September before the real cooldown. This correction happened to quickly for it to be the big one imo.

So, I have a potentially pretty dumb question about chainlink. Having had it explained to me like I'm 12, it's basically an aggregator of data that uses multiple independent sources to verify that information is correct.

So what's to stop these sources from using the same data point and a hardware failure causing incorrect data? Say I want the info on the temperature in the cayman islands. Lets say there are only two physical sensors that are picking up that information, sensor A and sensor B. 66% of nodes are using sensor B. A seagull shits on sensor B and fries it, making it display the incorrect temperature. The nodes that are giving the correct temperature from sensor A are then punished for giving incorrect data?

Do they audit each node to make sure it is completely independant using a different end data point? If so doesn't that make it centralised?
