Biz either we are still super early or Chainlink is actually a scam

Chainlink generates cash flow from my wallet to Sergey's belly. Once Sergey grows too fat to live, his lard can be harvested and used to produce energy. I think you need to re-read the whitepaper.

I unironically have this same situation except my parents run a hedge fund through ML and they have only heard of Chainlink because of me. None of their corporate peers are interested in any of this shit. I shilled it to some young fag at ML and he's made over $1M and he doesn't understand shit about Chainlink, smart contracts, or any of this. Truthfully, a part of me thinks it is all a meme for trading non-existent numbers of a blockchain. I haven't heard of any real world use cases for smart contracts.

I will follow up my post with saying that I don't really expect finance people to be familiar with Chainlink since it is a technology project. But I've also talked to finance lawyers and such and none of them have had anymore than a very negligent passing knowledge about "smart contracts," and they always say dumb shit like "ah, you're a bitcoin guy" in a condescending way.

there isn't a normie on the planet who uses this term

Same. My dad is very stereotypical boomer “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” and not very technologically literate so he may just not be in the know because of that. I think me explaining smart contracts and oracles went over his head. He’s just good at reading financial statements and schmoozing old exec board guys. He thought Tesla was a joke bc it isn’t generating any profit so he’s very old school finance

We're in a echo chamber.
Normal people do not know/care what a crypto currency is.
They still don't understand how bitcoin works, there's no way they'll know about CL

How are your scam tokens doing? Still holding the scam until $1000 EOY so sergey can cash out on your retarded asses or what?

permissioned nodes are the only way to approach real decentralized operations. an anarchistic approach will always lead to powerful rich cartels controlling the network

I agree. Even people who consider themselves "technically savvy" have just barely heard of Ethereum.

No not the same. That thread seems like a LARP. You can believe my thread or not. I’m not making some super crazy promises that LINK will make you rich though. Just showing the boomers who control big companies don’t understand blockchain

Well the good thing is that money talks.
If a competitor manages to reduce overhead cost using link, that'll force others to acknowledge it and fall in line.

Ah, to be young again. Imagine thinking your parents are some sort of all knowing beings. I remember when I looked at them like superheroes too.. not just typical boomers that struggle at understanding how texting works. I laugh at the concept of my parents understanding chainlink and also cringe at evaluating the worthiness of it based on their knowledge LMAO

>> No.21791055

I can't even imagine what crypto will look like when normies get involved. Uniswap and the defi boom are giving us a taste of a crazy future. People are experimenting with crazy things like AMPL and FLOW. Once normal devs start doing crazy stuff all bets are off.

We are going to see a future of waves of our idiot neighbors FOMOing into scams and flash in the pan crypto tokens while projects with real utility like LINK steadily go up.

so by your dads definition, are tech stocks that dont pay a dividend worthless?
