Pack it up boys, it's unironically over. Reddit won't be buying our scam bags.

Programmers are notoriously retarded when it comes to finance, my cousin actually works at Netflix but when it comes to money he's actually a retard. He doesn't even buy stocks just puts his money in his savings account. I think programming causes your brain to be wired in a slightly retarded way

It's probably an effect from programming having no room for risk/error. I mean code should work at least more than 50% of the time unless you're making some russian game company.

That sub is full of autists. It’s like when Redditors on a similar sub said that AYX is pointless because you can just do everything with Python and R. They don’t realize that 99% of normie wagies aren’t going to spend time learning those languages. AYX makes automating mundane tasks easy without and programming background.

Yeah, I could see the unpredictability messing with their autism. They'd rather see money predictably go up in a bank account each week than swing wildly and irrationally in an investment portfolio.

It's beyond their lack of risk appetite, they don't even seem to comprehend how financial institutions operate on a basic level. I think it's more to do with a pathological hatred of interfacing with any aspect of social structures, because as mathematical as finance is, at it's core it is predicated on game theory and incentives, concepts such as value rely on a modicum of understanding other people. As an example the programmer friend of mine couldn't wrap his head around liquidity and repo loans even when I explained it to him with diagrams.

Maybe your friend is retarded, I program for a living and I understand some moderate level ideas in finance. Beyond just debit and credits.

Anyways, some of the richest people I know in this space are programmers. Many of The OG bitcoiners and ETH hundred millionaires were programmers

that's because programming trains you to stop believing in BS. 90% of modern finance is just made up shit by talking heads on cable networks. the actual work is done by programmers and statisticians who couldn't give less of a fuck about why the squiggly line moves the way it does.

There is a reason non tech guys like Jobs or Elis who couldn't write a routine made it big in Silicon Valley. Typing code doesn't make you creative or give you good foresight.

Most of the article itself are classic brainlet arguments like the fact there is no privacy features on Ethereum and Bitcoin or the fact they use PoW, the equivalent of complaining the internet in 2000 was slow and paying on it with your credit card risky.

In 5 years we will be so much past these limitations people will beat themselves up for falling for the fud.
