what does good mean?
Assuming you have no debts you are WAY ahead of most 30 year olds. Like legit you are probably in the richest 10% of 30 year olds.
But 50k isn't exactly life changing money, and assuming you have actually made conscious effort to save/invest you could easily be worth a few hundred thousand by 30

I'm in my early thirties and soon I'll be making my 10th million so it's all relative. You should be focusing on what you like to do for a job qnd you'll automatically be great at it. What are you obsessed with? What is it you can't stop yourself from doing?

Base wage is around 54k a year, I live and work in Australia so our money is worth less. However there is ample opportunity for overtime.

I like the people I work with, but the job itself is kind of boring. Currently attending university to get out of it.

Gotcha. That's about $38500 USD a year which seems decent, especially if you can get some OT.

I'm getting pretty sick of my job. It's seasonal, and I only work 8 months out of the year, but the pay usually only adds up to about $33k USD a year. I normally travel during the winters off while collecting job-attatched unemployment which covers all my bills back home and then some. This winter international travel is likely off the menu so I'm starting to think about what comes next.

Seasonal work sounds cool especially if you've gotten some opportunities to travel. But yeah always good to think about your future. That's why I'm doing UNI, if I didn't do something now I'd probably end up driving a forklift forever.

I'd say if you feel like making a move, make it while you feel motivated to. Always hard to think about leaving a job while you're in one. Difficult to let go of that security.

Depends on what you mean by good. If you compare yourself to the average person then it's decent.
If you compare yourself to people who are somewhat high IQ and care about saving/ investing then it's not very good.

I'm pretty sure what he meant was that has a $50k net worth, not necessarily $50k sitting in cash.

having 50k cash at 30 is pretty good, most people barely have any savings at all and are in debt, but you shouldn't be looking at the average person for financial inspiration anyway. I think it's pathetic to compare yourself to a normie who parties every week and wastes their paycheck on bullshit food and the latest iphone.

I'm 22 and have around a £20k net worth and more than £10k liquid but I still feel poor as fuck even if most of the people I knew/see on instagram don't even have a fraction of that, are in debt and still ask their parents for money. I always feel like I was made to be exceptional and cannot compare to your typical normie, I think if you adopt that mindset you'll have a significantly better chance of making it financially. DESU if you're on /biz/ you're probably already ahead than most anyway, imagine if you told a normie you became a millionaire because some frog on the internet told you to buy CHAINLINK kek, they would not be able to comprehend it let alone take your advice
