You don't realize how bad payment disputes currently are with basically everything. It's alright from a customer perspective, but businesses get absolutely buttfucked by payment processors like PayPal or visa. They generally just side with the customer, or just blanket refunding is almost incentivized because marks on your account can result in immediate account closure.

If this is implemented properly it would most certainly save payment processors money while also shouldering the blame for that dispute off the company in question. It will also most likely result in increased revenues for businesses as well since they'll probably be refunding less orders and losing less disputes

Honestly I've always been kind of a loser. I did OK in school, didn't ever go to university, spend way too much time on the internet. And the feeling that my parents were so disappointed in me has honestly made me so depressed at times that I wouldn't even want to look them in the eyes, I'd actually sleep all day and be awake all night just so I wouldn't have to interact with them, all from shame.

Kleros changed all that. I told my parents what Kleros is and how I am going to be a Kleros Juror one day, and decide important disputes between big corporations. They don't entirely get it but they seem to at least be proud of me now. My dad sometimes asks me how Kleros is doing (he uses those words, it's kind of funny) and talks me up about it. Yes. If you hire someone and have a contract, and their work doesn't satisfy the contract, you take them to claims court for reneging on said contract. What part of that is difficult to understand?

And to be selected as a juror in the majority of cases, you would need to be holding >51% of supply, or very large amounts. By then you would be compelled to act honestly, to continue on the Kleros court system. If you were dishonest, you would collapse the faith of Kleros which would also lower your large investment into Kleros

It doesn't replace chainlink. Chainlink is for cut and dry contracts. PNK is for subjective ones.

A more American example would be lawn care.

Tom says he will mow someone's lawn 4x per month for 200 dollars. Joe agrees and in the contract he says there should be a Kleros stipulation to handle disputes. Tom agrees and they both decide to pay through whatever means that can account for PNK's contract (chainlink).

3 months in Joe says that Tom actually destroyed his lawn. Joe gives a lot of proof. Kleros court meets and decides what to do based on the evidence. In this case it would likely be a relinquishment of Joe needing to pay, or somehow get a refund of the money from Tom's smart contract (chainlink).

It can also work in Tom's favor too. Tom claims that somehow Joe intentionally tried to damage Tom's lawn mower. He shows video recordings and other evidence. Kleros court could rule that Tom needs money from Joe for property repair and it will end the smart contract between them.

Is it practical for lawn care? No. Is it practical for online work? Yes.
