My next big play I'm thinking of buying LEAPs for $LUV (Southwest) deep ITM when they drop back to the $30-31 range, then selling weeklies on them $2-3 above breakeven price. I think there's a heavy rotation out of airlines right now after people are seeing what reopening schools are causing + other countries having slight resurgences of COVID (Korea for example). No doubt there will be a surge back to these stocks but I think right now cruiselines and airlines are due for another round of slight beatings. Which obviously means we should buy calls whenever possible and reap the benefits. ITM ones though, not OTM. We want to preserve the intrinsic value over gambling on extrinsic value being converted into intrinsic value via massive runups.

You're doing it wrong. If you want to buy something during their after hours trading time you have to select GTEM when you make your order, but I think it's closed right now. Get in the habit of using limit orders instead of market orders so you don't get screwed on smaller stocks with less volume. You're basically telling Questrade "give me this share as soon as possible, I don't care about the price".

Be prepared for TSLA to move up and down hundreds of dollars, just keep holding it. This is one of the only meme stocks that strategy works well on, don't do it for whatever penny stock is shilled here, oil, biotech, or whatever bullshit. I write them the same week yep, the market is too volatile so I only write Mon-Thu, with the most being written on Wednesday after my Wednesday SPY spreads expire. I look for news pre-market and after-market then judge by QQQ/SPY sentiments - then decide on a certain collateral % return VS the strike I'm comfortable with after some basic TA like RSI, 50 day MA. I aim for anywhere between 4-7% on things like SPY weeklies and 5-15% on megacaps like GOOG, AAPL, AMZN, FB. If you want to play it megasafe, you could just do like 2-3% on stuff like AAPL. I'm not touching Tesla at the moment though.
