I take profits at $5 price increase increments. But I only sell a very small part of my stack. As the price goes up, I will increase the % of my stack sold per transaction. But no matter what, 1k linkies do not get sold until we hit $1000. Taking profits is the right thing to do. But from my perspective you have to leave enough in to potentially walk away with 1 million dollars. Because for me the goal is to never have to be a wagie again. I don’t need fancy stuff or have multiple millions. The most valuable thing in life is health and time. And if you can live off dividends, you have so much more time to live your life...I should note that I’ll probably inherit at least $500k + property from family in the next 10 years.

I cost average into projects I like, and more or less equally cost average out when they break into new territory. I can't speak for all of crypto, but from the 5-7 projects that I follow closely this tactic works great. All profits get reinvested during dips, and I'm selectively buying in monthly pretty much regardless of movement

The only exception is link, it doesn't behave like the rest. If you try and dca out and rebuy dips you're in for a shock, and it'll probably take a few times before you learn your lesson that link is not like the other alt coins that you hold.
In the past countless shitcoins have had (temporary) great success and reached crazy prices, but none have staying power, and pretty much all of them happened during the madness of a bullrun. Link is different, it moons regardless of the rest of the market, and to drive home the absurdness just take a second to imagine it's performance during a golden bull run. You have to stop thinking of link as an altcoin that is on a good run, and start thinking of it the same way you think of eth and bitcoin in it's early days. Take emotion out of it, which will be tough if you've been on this ride for a couple years.
