I'm from Argentina and we have been having ~50% anual inflation rate every year thanks to socialist shit and there's an hyperinflation coming due to massive printing.

Currently 1 USD ~= 70 ARS, but you can't buy it at that price.
You can buy up to 200usd monthly for 100ars each.
If you want to buy more it cost 125 ARS per dollar in the bonds market, which is highly regulated.
If you're a small individual you have to go to the black market where you can get it for 133 ARS.

Another option is to buy BTC and then go to a stablecoin like DAI, this will cost you around 135 ARS per DAI.

People here a desperate to buy USD or any currency that less volatile because it's the only way you can have savings.

Also banks are not trustworthy, they have history of deposits being stolen and the goverment can mandate to convert your usd to ars at the 70 ars rate.

So for some of us the safer way to save is to use stablecoins.
DAI has been increasing in popularity here and the government is putting pressure to stop crypto trade; but it hasn't gain mainstream popularity yet.

BTC have a real use case here and is that you're able to convert your ars to usd and move those funds to a bank in another country.
Also, if you get paid for work in usd, you are forced to convert it to 70 ARS.
