dear sirs you understand that xsn is going to be 500$ one day? you should buy right now sir.

You heard correctly.
The numbers at the bottom of the chart probably won’t ever be reached but if you think something like $5-$10 XSN and $100m trade volume is unachievable, just remember that Uniswap alone gets almost $300m daily volume. I’m sure you saw all the threads complaining about the cost of gas yesterday and how slow unishit was being.
This will be the first truly good DEX. Low fees, no gas, off-chain so it can actually scale and not get congested like you saw yesterday, lightning and raiden integration...people will come to this DEX in droves.

>> No.21353133

>>21352863
Yes, even if price never goes up you still get a roughly 16% return based on block rewards alone.
Anything else, like dex fees, is just gravy.

will tokens need to apply to get listed like every CEX out there? or can you trade any shitcoin on there like on Uniswap? I'm really interested in an answer to this, have any of the team members said anything? The reason why Uniswap became so successful so fast is that anyone can list their shitcoin on there. I'm really hoping XSN don't take the CEX approach and charge listing fees

>> No.21353387

>>21353280
listings will be on a case by case basis but I don't think they will be charging anything. Also with raiden you will be able to swap lnbtc with raiden erc20 tokens instantly bridging that gap on the dex

>> No.21353422

>>21353280
I think ive seen talk of open listings, but im not certain. This is a good question to have a clear answer on, though.

>> No.21353451

>>21353280
Listing fees are almost certainly not going to be a thing; however, there is a chance that some sort of partnership will be required for listing instead of just green lighting everybody. That’s actually a very good question, going to ask in the discord now to see if there’s any clarity on that.

>> No.21353472

>>21353387
so no? It's going to be like kyber and bancor where they list on a few tokens? pretty disappointing ngl

>> No.21353528

>>21353451
I really hope they allow any token list, I hope they don't take the "ethical" route of only listing good projects. The only thing that should matter is being the number 1 DEX that you can swap anything with anything, maximizing volume and fees for node holders

>> No.21354018

>>21353100
You still need to pay gas fees when you bring your balance back online. This solves absolutely nothing apart from traders who literally want to open a channel and trade the one coin pair back and forth all day until closing the channel.

You will end up paying just the same amount of fees with Stakenet dex because of this. It’s so mind blowing no one knows this.

>> No.21354179

>>21354018

Wrong.

You pay the gas once. Make as many trades as you want, then close the channel.

It's the difference between paying gas every trade or paying gas once and making as many trades as you want within the raiden channel

>> No.21354244

>>21353280
I'm like 99% sure I've heard anyone can list they just need to run their chain on a masternode and provide liquidity or something like that. Meaning at least a 15k XSN entry price I guess, or they could pay an existing MN to list their coin or provide some other incentive to MN owners to do so. Of course MN owners will already have incentive as that's their profit base, more trades on the dex means more volume means more fees being paid to MN owners.

they'll be using WETH for the time being until ETH 2.0 comes out. Also stfu, that's not their fault. Even uniswap has to use WETH instead of ETH to trade erc20 tokens. That's the issue with Ethereum itself, not the team's fault

The fees are actually more than just that. You'll have to rent a channel for the new coin you want to buy in addition to opening your LN channel.
That means you'll have to pay for two on-chain transactions plus the channel rental if you want to buy a coin.
Good luck selling that to people. I'm pretty sure everyone will just stick with Uniswap and CEX's for the time being.

misrepresenting

cost is higher if you're only performing one trade, but you're negating that multiple trades can be performed using one channel rental, and all will be batched to the network when you close the channel.

you can rent a channel for two weeks at a time, trade on that channel as many times as you want, and pay one transaction fee at the end, typically less than $2 for the channel rental plus fee to close the channel. much better than paying $10 per trade on uni.

You not seeing the bigger picture here. Again XSN are ahead of the market while you are still thinking everything has to be done onchain. XSN are building for an L2 future where nearly everything happens offchain because it needs to because onchain scaling obviously does not work. Once you take your funds to L2 you don’t NEED to put them back onchain.

If you put your BTC on LN, swap to ETH, trade to something else and so on back to BTC, still don’t need to close the channel, just leave it open. Why do you need to close it? Where are you moving it to? It’s already in your wallet. As LN and other L2 tech gains adoption from there you will just send it to whatever service you want to spend it at, again still don’t need to close the channel.

Once 90% of the transactions happen offchain then settling onchain will be back to being cheap and fast as it is only used every now and again. The problem is right now everyone is trying to settle everything all the time onchain when they don’t need to.
