>B: GLD and SLV are trusts which supposedly hold the shit in vaults, if indeed the large majority of the physical is in there, then eventually the spot price and paper price have to line up. Why does /bis/ believe they're so defficient in physical inventory, or otherwise believe they'll go to zero?

SLV are futures contracts with expiry dates. when the contract expires, it must be rolled over into another futures contract, fulfilled with physical silver delivery, or settled with cash. i think the problem is more and more people are opting for physical delivery of the silver at contract expiry, and the theory is there is not enough physical silver in storage to back up the paper silver contracts that have been issued

what this means for the price of silver or SLV i dont know, maybe someone in here knows?

Believe me, I've been buying physical. I just have January 2021 calls on SLV (yes i am well aware of the COMEX and the risk) that i was up a good amount on 2 days ago and was so close to reaching the portfolio value where i would cash everything out and quit my shitty grocery store job. Obviously now those calls got gutted today and likely will again tomorrow, and i still believe silver has great fundamentals so of course i will keep holding. It just hurts knowing how close i was to my goal.

I've got 230oz (+2 Coronacoins I'm keeping hold onto forever to commemorate) Sil, 5oz Gold. Not enough to really make any money off of shorting, so the conversion would be banking on Silver minus commission going above Gold come spike.

>>21288859
That's my main concern. If we were talking paperniggers, then shorting is obvious and easy, but you've got a bit more of a decision when you've got roughly a week inbetween purchases, and have to deal with premiums because you're not a dumb baka paperfag.
Plus, you're losing out on diversification, should both spike on different weeks (since they historically spike a few weeks.months apart during the megacrashes)

My main concern is if the dip is going to last long enough to sell.
I genuinely think the dip is going to be sub 1 week given the COMEX fuckery is going to force the price to climb in prep, no matter how much manipualtion Mr Bankerberg does. And, if the dip doesn't last, I'm quite literally possible of losing upward of a grand, which isn't small at my level of trading.

Will admit though, gonna love watching paperniggers rip their eyes out as their IOUs mean jack diddly fucking squat come the crash. Their pain then will be so much more than my cautious sway now.

This time the faith will be given to a US Presidential administration that has garnered grass-roots popularity and, while not perfect, is the best game currently in town. So envision a debit card that fractionalizes your stake in however much metal you have on file with them. Considering there is far more silver in the hands of the "people" I tend to lean toward silver becoming the basis as it could just as easily be used in physical transactions without being overly ridiculous.

I see a distributed ledger(s) supporting the new monetary system but also think we'll see multiple metals as well in the mix - Ag/Au/Pt/Pd at the least.

Thanks.
I'm comforting myself by telling myself that you always pay extra for fractional, as it takes about the same amount of work to produce the smaller coins, or something...

But the Krakens that I actually like and are legit numismatics (canadian mint?) would've been the better buy even just thinking about weight.

Is the decoupling of physical and paper already here? I expected it to happen after a delivery default. Also why would comex defaulting cause SLV to dump? People dont expect delivery on SLV, they just "own" an unallocated bar of silver. Although I fail to see how unallocated silver has ever been priced anywhere close to the amount of physical.

They will, which is why I'll be buying the weak hands towards their dip. They'll go back up. I don't intend on selling again after this week's purchase basically. I may not purchase tomorrow or the next day, it all depends on where the bottom will be. This is a fantastic opportunity to buy in. Check some of the other /pmg/ threads a few hours ago for miners to look at.

I will say though, a few miners didn't even go down yesterday because they're too based to fail + the stockholders know this is just a panic sell off for larger institutions to buy, as they were the ones who caused it anyway by taking profits yesterday morning and throughout the day.

Look at WLBMF, TGB, and MAIFF. They didn't dip. Some infact gained on one of the worst days for gold and silver since march.

It won't ever be ready. Corona comes from SARS, which they're tried to crack on top priority (because it could have at any time gone like corona has now) for 20 fucking years, and turned fucking squat out without killing people.

This is possibly the best argument in favour of favouring junk over new bullion coins. Obviously, in a society where fiat money is collapsing/has collapsed, people would quickly learn the value of silver, but nevertheless, dull old junk doesn't quite attract attention the way literally gleaming shiny new bullion coins do. They cross borders more easily in the same circumstances for the same reason. If you have a pocket with a handful of silver half-dollars, obviously people who know their shit may recognize it but it still doesn't attract the same attention as a shiny new 1oz.

Its not a buying method. Its just a cool thing to see. When you see the silver spot price overlapped over it, you'll be able to see what companies react the fastest to up or down changes and get an idea of if the premium is low or high compared to the past. Gold and Silver are money. No price too high or low. Fiat is monopoly money for slaves. My entire savings is in PM's. Stock market just opened in Europe. It's bad for the miners, but not quite as bad as you would expect. We got a drop from $29 to $24, but the miners didn't drop at a 3x leveraged rate. I think that we are getting close to the bottom in GDXJ and SILJ (which I simply use as a proxy for the miners in general). They are now priced for sub-$1800 gold and $18 silver. They never even reacted to gold on the way up to $2080 or silver on the way up to $29, so presumably they are going to hit a floor on the way down soon. NEM for example is priced for $1650 gold and $17 silver (same price as 22 May) even though it is the only mining company in the S&P 500 and the world's largest silver producer. Same case with respect to Barrick. Both companies have extremely good earnings. Surely people will realize this soon.

Some of my stocks are even green:

Dolly Varden: +5%
Silver Viper: +6%
Bluestone: +4.5%
Wallbridge: +2.8%
Vizsla: +2%

Some fool threw away Impact Silver for 0.565 euros, but the bid-ask is already 0.584-0.605. Many similar cases. I think that only utter fools will throw away their mining stocks at this point.

Gold crashed from 1750 to 1670 about three or four times on the basis of this vaccine hoax news. This is absolutely nothing new to us. To say nothing of the fact that the coronavirus is a cried-up hoax, and that you can't vaccinate something akin to the common cold in any event, the economy's crashing has nothing to do with the lockdowns, it was going to happen anyway. Stop watching normievision. There is no vaccine. The Russians bootstrapped some garbage and gave it to 30 soldier volunteers, and we have no idea if they'll develop any long term effects. The absolute minimum development time for a vaccine on record was about 2.5 years, and that's easy mode. Covid is a derivative of SARS, and we have been trying to make a vaccine for that (and ANY corona virus for that matter) for 20 years with no success. Everytime that they think they have a SARS vaccine it gives the test monkeys pseudo-AIDS and kills them. There will be no vaccine. The economy is still shuttered. Most silver mining operations are essentially a waste of time as they currently run. Many use financial trickery or basically lies to appear awesome. There are exceptions but that easy silver is coming to an end and most mines within the decade that are on the easy silver train are going to be gay. A LOT of silver and gold production is waste from other mining activity. All that mining activity will slow for a while.... and pick up again in 2024 but I still don't know if it'll be vol and price or just price. If silver was at $12,000 a loaf of bread would probably be $1,000+. Silver at $250 will not mean bread is $1,000 or even $20.

Trust me. We've seen this before. We had exactly the same thing in April. At that time it was even worse, because stocks were soaring at the same time as gold was dumping. If you held your nerve and held your miners you made a fortune. So long as real yields continue to be negative, and they _must_ continue to be negative, because they can't go positive without crashing the whole system, gold will go up. It's impossible for it not to do so. They can never allow yields to go up. Never. They are in a debt-trap. It's all inflation from here onward until either default or the death of the dollar.

We've seen the same vacc hype song and dance around every shitty biotech pennystock, but apparently you keep falling for it. The governments of the world aren't, and the decision makers aren't. They know why they shut everything down, and why it will stay down until the reset is over.

>If silver was at $12,000 a loaf of bread would probably be $1,000+
What a Boomer fucking argument that I see everywhere. Who decides the price of gold and silver? Demand decides it, and if the Rich realize the game is over, they will only want 3 things. The same 3 things they always wanted since the Ancient Times. Gold, Silver and Land. There is nothing else out there that has a real value, everything else emerges from these 3 things. You can have an ounce of silver that's worth 2 months worth of food for a family of 3. Nothing stands against this possibility.

silver and gold looks like it will have it's time in 21 and 22. But, in the early 30's is when it will really get valuable. It's just a long road man. But, until that point you can add a few thousand ounces. Timing is hard. I think it'll be up to your personal strategy and opportunity costs of what you want to do with your rocks. I think for most anons they want to get a house and land on the cheap. This is probably one of the best uses of the rocks but only once the government of now has been changed... in the 30's with I hope something much better. Otherwise a lot of anons are going to have to move to areas that aren't gay to spend their rocks.

I was the one calling coronavirus a hoax on /pol/ from the beginning. When all the rest of you were believing the hysteria instead of thinking critically. I have been completely vindicated since that point. Picture related is one of my posts. It beggars belief that you think of yourself as a critical or intelligent person simply because the herd on /pol/ told you to believe something in January, and you decided to go along with it.

Is there a particular reason you won't address the fact that there isn't going to be a corona vaccine because every single one we've made for 20 years kills the test animals? Because I feel like that's a big deal and something the people in charge are well aware of, so they don't let the hopium for the masses get in the way of their actual business. Is it the same reason you won't address how nonsensical it is to bitch about having to hold stocks for a decade when the Fed is making the YCC moves EARLIER than we anticipated, digging a grave for bonds, real estate, and stocks in real terms? Is it the same reason you bitch about having to hold a stock for more than 4 months, but were apparently cool with buying low on a 2-3 year cycle and selling at the top? (which you somehow can time perfectly, knowing that all stocks are cyclical like the Iching tells you)

Is it because you don't have metals, or miner stocks, and are only here to shit up the thread? Is it because you're clearly underage? Real US unemployment is pushing 40%, we have real negative rates, ZIRP is now the fed's policy, and they have abandoned a stated inflation target going forward.

unemployment will fall down if the vaccine is actually working, real negative interest rates dont mean SHIT to pms in the short term as the last 10 years proved and they will get the monetary market back under control again as they always did, once the economy is back up.

I don't doubt that our enemies were planting the seeds of the hoax on /pol/ and actually making the /cvg/ threads. It was frightening how quickly every single person went along with the narrative. Now the vast majority of people on /pol/ know it is a hoax, but, at the time, I didn't see a word of dissent until we began circulating Wolfgang Wodarg and Ron Paul's videos on the subject, and that happened in mid-March. And it was like pulling hen's teeth trying to convince people. I did it for months and months.
